Hi everyone,
I'm new to the community. I found it from the Halloween costume petition links.

I think that the cause and the community is a great thing to work for. Solidarity and cohesiveness is something our community lacks, but only through discussion and argument can a community be built. I want to join and help.

OK, enough about that.

My name's Andy. I'm 25 and a law student at Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ. Previously I lived in San Francisco working at an immigration law firm. I grew up in Virginia, believing I was as white as all my classmates until I went to college and saw the beginnings of light. Then I moved to California.

One thing I learned recently and wanted to share. APALSA at Rutgers just hosted the only Asian-American Federal Judge outside of the 9th circuit (basically outside of California and Hawaii) as a speaker. He was appointed by Clinton in 1994. At the time, he was the only Asian-American Federal Judge outside the 9th circuit. Eight years later, that remains the case.

I'm glad I found this site. I hope to meet and interact with all of you. Hopefully you'll enjoy doing the same with me. :-)

I'm from the Richmond area, the sniper's moving down toward where my family lives unfortunately.

I'm still a 1L, so there's no concentration of subjects yet. That's next year. I think I want to go into litigation, but I'm not sure yet. Immigration is also a possibility.

the marcal company that makes all the marcal toilet paper, keenexes, paper towels, etc.... thats kinda like in the south end of town tho... but i live in the heart of the dowtown section.. near the Great Falls...
