High Heels

Quite possibly, Leonardo da Vinci invented the first pair of high heeled shoes in the 1500s. Some people believe that high heeled shoes accentuates the butt, adds more weight towards the chest, gives the impression of toned calves, and a taller height. I admit I have high heeled clogs (with rubber soles), 2 1/2 inch heeled boots, and about 2 or 3 high heeled shoes (either 1 or 2 inches high), but I also have a few athletic shoes, a few pairs of flip flops, and other flat heeled shoes I don't exactly know how to categorize. Anyway, what makes you want to wear high heels? If you don't like wearing high heels regardless of the occassion, what's the method behind your "madness"? :dance:

i only wear a size 2 1/2 shoe... so, i've never seen any high heel shoes in my size anyways... and even if did... i wouldnt wear them... cuz i dont have a sense of balance to wear those types of shoes in the first place...

2 1/2?! dear lord, i suddenly feel like big foot. please excuse me while i go hack my toes off to make my feet smaller.

i dont like heels at all. when i walk in em its like miss congeniality all over again. i like shoes that add height to me, but only if they gimme a flat sole. platform sandals rule my world. i just cant walk in shoes that elevate the back of my sole. they hurt me and are difficult to be graceful in. if i wanted to feel that way i'd walk on my tip toes.

Heels make my legs look longer I guess. I don't wear heels that often, but if I do, it's usually boots or wide high heel sandals. Stilettos aren't my thing, thanks.

I'll wear any heels. Stiletto, vinyl boots, platforms. I'm dying for a pair of those heels with the attached leather/ribbon straps that you tie up to your knees.

Mr. HH's birthday is coming up. Maybe I'll get a pair of those and a leather corset.

I have really short legs, so heels make my legs look... normal length. I have an awesome pair of 5" heels (2" of it is platform)... they suck to dance in though.

i like click click shoes for the sound they make when you walk, esp on marble or granite floors. am i the only one? when i go out with girlfriends wearing heels or elevated shoes, i feel like a giant. i'm 5'5" then give 2 or 3 inches. when it's with the guys it's okay though, cus then i feel like we're on the same page.

i take em off, too, or just wear comfy shoes. if im dancing something that requires sexy moves and so on (like the tango or the salsa) ill keep em on just to spice things up. swing dancing, raving, etc calls for something i can move in without pain.

My addidas and flip-flops are the flat-est shoes I own... and when I wear them... I feel sooooooo much shorter...

Most of my shoes have at least a 2" heel... lotsa them are the big-ish strappy sandals... some closed toe platformy-ish... high heels... and other loafery type/businessy type heels for work..........

I dunno bout the heels adding to my chest / butt thang... but I just wear them allll the time kuz I hate being so short..........

i think it has to do with the back elevation forcing you to straighten your back or fall forward. standing with back erect moves the shoulders back a lil and projects the breasts forward.

accentuating the butt is by the raising of the calf removes the lil butt fold people have just below their ass. so in a nice short dress (preferably red or black) it add extra wowza to your score when the guy see's you.

hmm....does this make me sound like i know too many girls or not enough guys... :confused:

Because I have pants that are way too big for me that my mom won't let me hem up... I really only wear shoes that are comfy, and if the heels bug me, I won't wear them. I have a pair of sneakers, a pair of those slip-on sneakers that I bought before they were 'in', a pair of flat shoes, a pair of 4-inch heeled dress shoes, and two pairs of boots... and I feel like I have sooo many shoes!!!! Wow. I never thot of it before...
