Exclude the sausage and meatballs and not so much cheese. Also add loads of mushrooms, olives, onions, garlic, hot peppers, jalepenos, and hot sauce. Now it's perfect.

This is Korean? I've never heard of it... Would you know the name? I wasn't aware Koreans used peanut butter in anything... I know of a Korean snack that has peanuts and squid in it but not fried in peanut butter... Oh I feel so ignorant... hee hee...

maybe it's not traditional. this middle age guy cooks and sells it at a stall at this Korean supermarket i go to. i think he puts sugar in it, too. i think my gf knows what it's called.

Oh and I'm craving seafood... Doesn't matter what kind... I've been seafood deprived lately...

I think it's called ochingo, at least that's what my limited Korean reading ability leads me to believe, and it's not fried. It's that dried shredded squid and the guy at the Korean mart coats it in peanut butter and then roasts it. It's very good, and now I'm craving some.

i love pizza. its similar. mentaiko are very small fish eggs, almost like sand grains red to pink in color, inside bigger sacks made of skin. they can bought fresh in a many stores and many japanese like it, i really love it. especially karashimentaiko (spicey fish egg from Hakata). these are mixed with mayonaise and put on pizza. but you can also get the ready made in a plastic bottle that squeeze out. you can also put it on toast. yah japanese mayonaise has a better taste than the american, and some people eat it alot, but you had better not eat too much because its full of preservatives, especially the ready made one. did you know that some restaurants keep it out for over a year without refrigeration and it doesnt get rotten

enjoy your pizza:biggrin:

At the ground floor of that big mall in Taipei is some cart with a big wheel of white cake. Could be lo buo gow but it didn't quite taste like it to me. Anyhow, point is she slices it off thin into a big pile then throws some deep fried shallots or onions on top then pours a couple of sauces.

I think I could eat about a trough full of the stuff. No, maybe if you made like a 2 x 5 meter round cake of it I could be dropped into the middle and eat my way out of it. I could strap a tank of sauce to my back and pump it out as needed.

Leave it to me to be thinking of food right after lunch.

I'm so craving an AWESOME plate of pasta from somewhere.

The cheese, the meatballs, the Italian sausage, the sauce.....gah...

Sadly, the last time I had a mindblowing plate of pasta/Italian food was at grandma's. -SIGHS-

^ur italian?

One of those scenarios where I was basically adopted into her family.

Really close family friend.

Saw me through my first girlfriend in junior high, taught me to waltz, play canasta and gin, and how to make a proper Italian red sauce from scratch, along with some basic do's and don't's with food (and women)

Miss her much.

banh mi literally translates to sandwhich, so, technically... it's not a sandwhich called banh mi.

I was at the Giant's game last nite (WOOO, RICH AURILLA!!), and I had a fiending for garlic fries, any beer from Gordon Biersch, and a ball park polish dog. But as the game DRAGGED ON in the bleachers, my friend and I started pondering the warm, soothing goodness of MSG filled Pho.

So I'm fiending all 4 RIGHT NOW. Pho, garlic fries, a good polish dog, and a good beer.

WOOOHOOO, WARRIORS FOR CLINCHING THE PLAYOFF SPOT!!

Chap Chae (Erhm, if I offended anyone with the spelling, feel free to belt me one the next time you see me.)

And some carne asada fries.

And a good cold cerveza.

And maybe some guacamole smothered fajitas with sour cream and salsa.

Yeah....Cinco de Mayo is coming up. >_<

i really really like those bo jai fahns in the restaurant....like with spareribs, or chicken and mushroom, or lahp cheurng. and the crusted slightly burnt rice at the bottom smells so good and tastes oh-so-yummy. gotta wait for half an hour though for them to make it.
Yeah. This is what I want RIGHT NOW.....

I'm just longing to get some REALLY good PadThai.

Except my favorite place to get it at here in SF has been closed.

Everything else will just remind me I can't find any better Pad Thai for a while.

Steak. I think my increased intake of veggies has had me craving protein/meat a lot more. Gaah. Never realized how much of a carnivore I am.

super udon.

noodles were too thick, broth was so-so.

I recently heard a rumor that this noodle stand is owned by hideki irabu. now I have are fond memories of the free (real) iced green tea dispenser, the ceramic bowls and glass cups, the tachigui stand ambiance... want to explore their menu.

I'm craving steak again. I blame the weather and fact I can see the sun more. Or it's El Nino.

Or the fact I'm exercising more and had cut down on my protein intake.

Or it's....
