Would've been better if it was Windows 3.11.

I had one that seemed like outta a Rocky movie. Like I was some kind of boxer beating the shit outta people. Weird.

Hehe, I think my first MS OS was MS-DOS 5.0. Tho I might have used previous versions before. For some reason I was turned off by Apple's snazzy graphics at the time. I was so attracted by the simplicity of a DOS prompt. When I got introduced to Windows, I refused to install it on my system for the longest time. Ah, the memories...and how things have changed.

...now if only I got into Unix when I was younger.

Funny enough, I never watched it. Only saw the commmercials.

MS-DOS 3.0 here, and resisted Windows with Desqview/X on top of MS-DOS 6.22 for the longest time. Had one acquaintance stick with OS/2 even with Windows 98 out... I think he's still using it.

Hmm as for Geek Dreams... I had one a few years ago where I went to the mall to watch a sporting event. The establishment had large-screen televisions mounted from the ceiling and customers would sit in fully-adjustable recliners with automated concession delivery systems and climate control. The surround sound system was shared by everyone, since the business model was to provide a communal spectating experience with the comforts of home.

Anyway I'm there with my sister and we get seated. I play around with the controls and rock my seat back and forth. I adjust the speed and it starts rocking faster, but a little too fast, and I go flying off with the seat backwards into the wall. Boom! There's a dent in the drywall.

The manager comes outta nowhere and shoves this paper in my face -- it's the ToS (Terms of Service) I had apparently signed earlier. The manager starts screaming that i just violated it and they're going to kick me out. I start arguing back that I'm going to sue them for negligence, and that's when I woke up.

You think that's bad? I used to be (kinda still am, actually) a Starcraft freak and sometimes the gameplay would integrate into whatever dream I'd be having and I'd be trying to blast Zerg just as I'd step out of a coffee shop or something after a date with the dream representation of the girl in reality who'd I'd be crushing on at the time.

That doesn't sound like a geeky dream to me... Actually, that sounds pretty cool (except for the manager part)... Although, I wouldn't be watching a sporting event... Automated concessions? You mean like beer at you're beckon call? hehe

As far as having a geeky dream... I guess this is the closest dream I've had...

Well you see I bug the IT department so much that once I had a dream that I somehow crashed all the servers and the whole IT department came up to my office and screamed at me... It was kinda like a scene out of some movie where all the villagers go forth with torches... hehe... I feel this dream stems from the guilt I feel for how many times I have made someone come up & figure out what went wrong... When the IT department sees my extension comes up they answer the phone like "So what'd you do this time?"...

That sounds like the area in Rockefeller Center where they set up the big screen and mock tennis court, lawn chairs, and grandstand to watch the US Open in August.
