When I found this site I was AWOL from the army, and was searching for answers, and maybe a reason to go back. Anyways, thanks.

For those of you who are thinking about going AWOL I dont recommend it.

But in the event that you are already AWOL and are searching for answers. The only thing I can tell you, is to do what right in your heart. Think about everyone's well being involved not just your own, those are the consequences that I focused on to get through the process.

Quitting sometimes happens, as does failure, but dont quit on yourself. So if you find this post and are AWOL, good luck, life is short so do what you feel is the right thing. Have a nice life. Cya.

Wow. It's tough having to wrangle with your own conscience.

I suppose this means that you've returned to the Army?

Good luck in your endeavors!

Good luck, I hope everything's going well. I hope it all works out. One thing I learned was that I wasn't going to find any answers running away, I found it ... sleeping. I guess that's what I do when I'm depressed. See you around some day.

You should have found this site before you went AWOL. I don't know about US army, but AWOL in the singapore army is a serious crime max 7 years detention. I am not sure where you are in your process. But turn yourself in and take the hit and get out. I am aware that for many this Conflict in the Mideast is not justified but when you are in the Army you are a Civil "servant." You have no choice but to follow orders.

As a former officer I would respect someone who would face the consequences rather than have provost (MPs) bring you in. Let me know if you need any advice or support
