Here is a good essay titled, "What You'll Wish You'd Known (http://paulgraham.com/hs.html)" by Paul Graham. Here is a snippet that captures the purpose of the essay:

In the graduation-speech approach, you decide where you want to be in twenty years, and then ask: what should I do now to get there? I propose instead that you don't commit to anything in the future, but just look at the options available now, and choose those that will give you the most promising range of options afterward.

it's a rather long read, and i'm in a bit of a hurry, but i fullheartedly agree with the caption you quoted.

i think freshman college students become too worried about finding that one single thing they will do in their lives, and over-stress about achieving it. but through personal experience, i find it much more effective and most importantly, more enjoyable to simply go with the flow whilst examining the different opportunities that arise as you enter adulthood. i firmly believe that the ages between 18 - 24 are times in which a person discovers who they really are, and finds out what they're really good at. it's errorful, and perhaps even impossible, to commit oneself to a single accute aspiration at the tender age of 18.. there is just too much the person has yet to experience about the world, themselves, and life invariably filled with curveballs.

shit it's already 3 i have to GOOOOOOOOo

Some people discover themselves early on while others find their true calling years down the road. Others still never quite figure out what the devil they want to do with their lives.
