You talking the tip or the middle? My sis had hers in the middle of her tongue, pretty big size too. The only thing that you may want to think about is a lot of ppl with tongue rings chew on them. It wears down one side of their teeth so sometimes I can tell someone who has the pierce by their teeth.

She swallowed the ball once too. hahaha

Get some nipple piercings. Heard they feel good and you will always look perky no matter how thick a shirt you wear.

I personally wouldn't pierce ANY part of my body and proly wouldn't dye my hair either, cuz I feel that I should appreciate my natural beauty and plus i'm a wuss-- i can't stand pain or possible hair loss. Plus, although i was pretty anti-dying and piercing before, something someone said gave me a new perspective: "My body is my temple and I feel like I should adorn it." or something like that.

There is one story at my friend's hospital. A guy came in for an MRI and the techs forgot to ask if he had any piercings that were not visible.

The patient went into the scanner, started the sequence with a nipple ring and .....since the scanner is a basically a one ton+ magnet.....well just use your imagination.

As for piercings, I think piercings are great. Never experienced a tongue piercing first hand but I'm definitely intrigued.

I heard one problem of getting the tip pierced is that people often chip their front teeth on it. Further back, I guess there's less of that problem. Also, it's easier to conceal if it's pierced further back. I'm still thinking of possibly getting one...I'm not sure though.

I say pierce and tat yourself up to your heart's delight. Sin? What's that?

Anytime you feel like doing something crazy, I'll definitely be here to egg you on. I kinda feel like it's my civic duty to influence people to do bad things.

If I get my tongue pierced, I'd only not want prospective employers to see it. So maybe once I get a new, semi-permanent job, I can go forward with the piercing. But clear balls doesn't sound so neat. I'd much rather have metal balls in my mouth. Hahaha!

And yeah, a belly ring hurts. It's not that bad, though. Just a lot more than a tongue ring. It's totally tolerable, especially since the pain only lasts for a bout 1/8 of a second. :)

It took a little while for mine to heal, but I've known people who said theirs stopped hurting after like, 2-3 weeks. Mine hurt forever. :( Seat belts are NOT your friend during the healing process. It's worth it. I like my belly ring. And I love my tongue ring, too.

Yeah, it probably won't as long as you don't play with it too much while it's healing. I think eyebrow rings eventually all migrate out, so you can only have them for like a year or so anyway. I'm thinking of getting one done. But my job won't allow that.

And yeah, KuroBishounen, I'm scared shitless of needles, too. I just try not to watch when they pierce me. And I didn't watch when they tattooed me, either.

As for the the needles thing, I kinda watched the guy do my tat, was kinda curious. But, I had my tats removed when I was 24-25.

Yeah, I got a tat. Was just one of those "so excited cuz it was my 18th birthday" kinds of things. Hate to be so typical, but I chickened out on what I REALLY wanted to get, and ended up with a chinese character for "protected" on my hip. At least, I HOPE that's what it says... It didn't hurt, though. Well, it did at times. The outline hurt a little, but it was totally worth it. As long as it's pain for a reason, it's not so bad. Pretty soon, adrenaline and nervousness kicks in and you feel it a lot less. Definately 100% tolerable. Less pain than a piercing, but DIFFEREnt pain. Piercings hurt a lot more, but for a shorter time. SUDDEN pain is different than CONSTANT pain... Tattoos are more annoying pain than painful pain. Make sense? Kinda? Kinda. I'm working on getting a new tattoo designed. I can't find anybody who'll draw it for me, though. I might just have to call up the guy who did my tat for me and see how much he charges for original designs.

My belly piercing didn't hurt so much when they pierced me. It was just like a pinch. It hurt afterwards though. But it was just sore, not "HOLY SHIT, IT'S BITING ME!" It healed in no time. Now, that wouldn't be such a problem with me since I wanted it to heal fast. But then it closed up on Tuesday, after 2 months of taking good care of it. I took it out to clean it because I take it out every so often to thoroughly clean. Within seconds, it closed up. I spent 30 painful minutes trying to shove it through, but my skin with stubborn and I just ended up with two bloody holes. I was extremely pissed about that, and I still am. I'm gonna repierce it in a week or two. Whenever it seems okay to pierce. I feel naked without my spike. I was going to pierce my eyebrow too, but decided not to. I'm planning to pierce my lip next summer. What it's like getting and maintaining a lip piercing, Karizma? I'm assuming it's not that painful, but I'm also assuming it's easily infected. You know. Saliva - bacteria. So you have to go through the trouble of cleaning the outside with bactine, and also washing your mouth with Listerine (doesn't that sting or burn horribly?). My friend and I also talked about how it'd be gross to take the piercing out and push saliva through the hole. o_O I want to get a tongue piercing too, but the thought of a needle going through my tongue has always been disturbing. Also the fact that a barbell would be in my way a lot, and the nasty fact that food can get caught there or small pieces can find their way into the hole while it's still healing. Gah, all these worries. If you get your tongue pierced, Karizma, tell me what it's like. I need more than 1 opinion. On top of all that, I want a tattoo in a few years. Not now though.
My friend's friend got his nipple piercing ripped out in gym class when an unknowing guy purple nurpled him. I don't think that's more painful than the MRI magnet thing though. *twitch* Somebody else that I know has a tattoo on the top of his foot. Freaking painful I'd imagine. Especially since 1) The skin if thin and sensitive there and 2) The closer to the bone, the more painful with tattoos. And another girl told me that she orgasmed from her genital piercing. I quote her, "Best piercing EVER." I heard that it's common for girls to be highly stimulated from genital piercings, especially when you have a nice person piercing you. They tend to try to make you feel good, also while not seeming like they're molesting you. But one guy said that a girl came into his parlour once, and she had the nastiest smelling crotch. He did it as quick as he could while holding his breath. Blech.

You're supposed to wash a tongue ring with a mixture of like, 1/3 listerine, 2/3 water. 'Cuz if you do it with straight listerine too much it irritates your mouth.

A friend of mine did it, she said it wasn't so bad. So I guess when you pee, it's okay, too. She said it got infected and started to hurt real bad, so she took it out.

I don't think it'd affect your peeing that bad, but I think that it'd be a bitch to maintain. Pee -> bacteria -> infection
Plus if it starts twisting (it does that sometimes) while it's healing, it'll hurt and you'll also have to reach in and fix it. That can be a hassle if you're somewhere where you'd rather not stick your hands down your pants (even if it's fun, I know) and shift around.

I never liked nose piercings that much. They're not that visible and sometimes they look like moles or some flaw on your face if you quickly glance. But on some people, they don't look bad. Just depends.

edit: Forgot to add that nose piercings are also supposed to be the most painful of them all, next to genital I think.

Actually, I have no scarring. Well, it also depends on the size of the tat. So it's prolly on a case by case basis.

Although I do miss one of the tat and the eyebrow piercing, I feel so nekkid.

My boy had some scarring too, but the tat was huge. It covered a good portion of his back.

Guess I lucked out. I was tatted on my shoulder blade, my bicep and forearm. No scarring. But they were of moderate size.

Hehe I wanted one on my neck too, but decided against it.
