The original BBC version was so good. Like watching a train wreck, it's emotionally draining and addictive at the same time. I don't hold out much hope for this (totally unecessary) remake, but Steve Carel was OK on THE DAILY SHOW.

I hate to ask, but what's so special about it?
The pix look like your average Joe type of drama/comedy.

I'm watching it right now, it's basically similar to Office Space, if you've seen it. Anyone that works in an office can relate to everything going on right now...LOL. The guy Steve Carrell is also supposed to be starring in the movie version of Get Smart, and I can actually see that working.

i just finished watching it and there were
funny parts in it.
i've never worked in an office setting so i
don't really get all the humour.
do you people find dilbert comic strips funny too?

It was disappointing. I was expecting a lot more. Hopefully it'll get better.

Oh hell yeah, dilbert mirrored my past life.
Office Space spoke to me, it was deep man... changed my life entirely.
But since I've changed fields, the humor is slowly dying on me. Dilbert isn't funny. Office space isn't as funny. And I have no interest to watch this.
And be glad you don't get all the humor. The Good Lord has blessed you. I had to die a little inside to get those office jokes.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Scripture to live by when you work in an office.

my impression of it was when it was simply repeating verbatim the UK version it was like "been there done that"
apparently next episode has that "race card" segment that seems new

Wasn't too bad. I did chuckle at that line, "Does the carpet match the drapes?"

well i remember the UK version pretty well so you even know when stuff is coming up, like the practical joke scene where instead of the secretary calling him a wanker she says jerk
