Practically speaking, I hope SF takes it 'cause I don't wanna hafta deal with tons of Angels fair-weatherers down here in SoCal like we did when the Chargers were hot shit. That and I'm a National League kinda guy. But it's nice to see new teams win every so often. If you need SoCal bettors, I'll bet on the Angels. But I think it could really go either way.

Look at the signatures of BunBoy and Amietron. They lost a bet to AB and tre, but conveniently forgot about tre.
The old bet was Yankees vs. Angels. Loser has to change their signature in the manner you can see on the posts. The sig had to stay until the end of the World Series.

well, i don't expect there to be a game 7. if there is, it'll be damn exciting, don't get me wrong. i just don't think there will be one.
giants beat the braves 3-2, 5 games.
and they beat the cards 4-1, 5 games also.
angels beat the yanks 3-1, in 4 games.
and the twins 4-1, 5 games.
the angels are the favorite. they're doing really really well this season. they're strong. however, i doubt they will win, only for the sake of rooting for the home team, and going against you, craig. ;)

Two of those series were only 5 games series and the Giants went the full distance in the first round of the playoffs. 4-1 series are also traditionally uncommon, I think it'll go 6 games. With the Giants going down of course B)

I've glanced at some supposed Dodger "fans" out there who say they'll root for the Giants against the Angels.
First off, no real Dodger fan would EVER root for the Giants. The rivalry is almost as good as the vaunted Lakers/Celtics rivalry or the Yankees/Red Sox. To root for the Giants if you are a Dodger fan is like rooting for an old girlfriend who left you to be with you most hated nemesis while telling all her girlfriends how crappy you were in bed. Pathetic.
Second, why root for the mean gf when you can root for family. Those NorCal folks have not been giving us any respect since the turn of the 1900's, it culminated with the LA/Sacramento series last year.
Lastly, I don't think many of the people on this thread really put any thought into this. Blind devotion leads their thought process.
P.S. I'm waiting for your mayor to wear some mouse ears.

All in all, i think the twins' fans were the most tasteful. They gave their props to the Angels but neither the Giants or the Yankees did any such thing.
"Angel food" my ass. We stopped on some yankee pride and i loved every moment of it.
