when you get a piercing at the store, do you have to be 18 and over?

Most reputable piercers know if they pierce someone under 18 there's a huge legal liability problem, and angry parents may follow. Certain piercings aren't appropriate for growing children either. There are some crappy places that'll do kids but these are the same places that don't sterilize properly or even have trained piercers.

I was thinking about doing my own piercings but it's kind of a hassle to stock the hollow needles and supplies for the amount I want to do. Need to get the other nipple done. Not sure what else I wanna do.

Omg... How do you guys pierce yourselves?!?! I get freaked out just watching other people get theirs done. Although it wasn't so bad when I got mine but I also couldn't watch it being done. And Jose, I’m a little surprised... I'm not sure why I imagined you a bit more conservative...

Yes but I meant in terms of his appearance... I didn't mean in his beliefs... I did state that I didn’t know why I imagined him that way...

You just wouldn't expect someone with so many piercings to hold such strong beliefs about politics, AA issues, etc... But yeah, Ism writes like he's one smart cookie, how many smart cookies do you know that have multiple piercings?

The moral of the story is that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Well some of the most thought provoking people I've met through out my life have not been societies standard for the norm but I agree that you can't judge someone merely for their appearance. I really wasn't trying to... Oh darn... Just forget what I said... I have a piercing myself & I hope I didn't give the impression that there was something wrong with them. Jose, I think your piercings are cool. Let’s just leave it at that...

if i didn't work in an office, i'd have a lip piercing with a hoop right in the middle of my lower lip.

my actual piercings...everyone has 'em already. navel, ear cartilage, and of course, ear lobes. i could not imagine piercing myself, owwww. i already get nauseous when others do it for me.

i've wanted an industrial piercing for the longest time.
but now i feel like i'm past that age
and people will think i'm ridiculous for doing so.

Bah! Just get one if you really want one... Especially if it's somewhere you can easily conceal it. But I have noticed that the people who do hesitate for a long time tend to be the ones that regret getting it once they do... I got mine when I was 21 and don’t have any plans on taking mine out for a while.
