50 Cent Kicks Game Out Of The G-Unit, Violence Erupts Outside Of Radio Station
Tue Mar 1, 6:00 AM ET
LAUNCH Radio Networks
50 Cent and the Game have been at odds for a few weeks as they exchanged long distance jabs but on Monday night (February 28), the beef between the two former collaborators escalated. MTV.com reports that a 24 year-old man from Compton, California, was shot in the leg outside of New York's WQHT as 50 Cent was conducting an on-air interview.
According to a post by The Game's brother Big Fase on the rapper's Black Wall Street website, The Game and his entourage were attempting to enter the radio station to confront 50 Cent but they were denied admission and an altercation ensued. According to Big Fase, a member of their entourage was allegedly shot by someone affiliate by 50 Cent and they are now holding 50 Cent responsible.
50 Cent, who was on air at the time, abruptly stopped his interview and was ushered out of the back exit of the radio station once news of the shooting reached the studio.
Before the interview was interrupted, 50 Cent explained that the Game was no longer a member of the G-Unit because he was disloyal. The rapper was referring to comments made by Game on Saturday (February 26), that he didn't want to be involved in 50 Cent's beef with rappers Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Nas.
50 Cent also said that Game should stop saying G-Unit and added, "He thinks he's doing me a favor when he says that."
Later Monday night, shots were also fired outside of Violator Management. The company manages 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and Mobb Deep. No one was hurt in the incident.
No arrests have been made in either case.

Who gonna get shot first? 50 or Game? I think Game'll get shot first, but 50 might die first. Me and my boys heard about this and placed bets and everything, who's gonna get shot first.
The main reason I say 50 is cause he knows he has enemies, and rolls in a bulletproof Tahoe and wears a bulletproof vest. The Game's been shot more times but he be walking around in them red dickies and Cincinatti Reds hat like it's all gravy...............I'm sure he's got his boys with him, but he doesn't wear anything bulletproof or nothing like that.
It's a shame cause the Game's album was actually pretty fuckin tight. I like how unlike most rappers, he's actually releasing two of the best, most meaningful songs on the album as singles...................."Hate it or Love It" is the brand new one, and then "Dreams" is going to be the next single.
The Game's album murders (no pun intended) either one of 50's major label albums. I heard The Massacre (which was supposed to originally be called St. Valentine's Day Massacre) it's garbage. Go get the Game's album though.................I don't know about him bringing back West Coast rap and all that, but he'll be doing pretty good for himself. Hopefully, some other label will pick him right back up....................
As for the actual incident itself.......................you won't support me cause I got beef with Fat Joe, Nas, Jada, etc. Well....................that IS a gang mentality, I have to admit. It's hard to really speculate and make judgement about how much of his beef is reactionary (i.e. somebody else came at me) or pre-emptive (go out and start beef with folks to sell records). I don't live in New York, I don't know the whole story. Basically, from what I can gather, every rapper in NY (except for Jay-Z, who's waaaaaaaaaay richer than 50) is jealous of him because of the fact that he sold 10 million records (at a time when folks is bootlegging CDs more than ever) so basically everybody in the NYC is taking shots at him. I'll give 50 credit for being business savvy and business smart, but you just have to wonder..........................couldn't he do more to prevent all this unneccesary drama in his life? One part of me says, yeah, cause that's where the best raps come from, the freestyles, the beefs, but the other part of me says, no we lost two great ones cause of that shit..............plus, he owns a multi-million dollar mansion in Connecticut, a long way from fuckin New York City, and he's worth ~ $50 million. Why bother? Make money, do your thang, but don't die at an early age before you can truly overcome your past, dude...................that's my 2 cents.
Me personally, I wish a lot of success for 50 and the Game, but these dudes gotta play it smart in the rap industry, tho. Back in 2001 when Jigga and Nas had their beef, they took shots at each other, made some tight ass songs, and Hot 97 declared a winner (Nas) and that was that. Nobody was shot or killed. Now Nas and Jay still won't collaborate w/ each other or nothing like that, but at least nobody had to get hurt and we got to see two of the best in the game go at each other. Good competition.

Dude, it was funny until they started shootin at each other. I like 50's beats but The Game has some brutally badass lyrics. The last thing we need is another two dead rap stars in the beginning of their careers. Especially not coming up on the 10th anniversary of some other rap dude's deaths...
That shit is stupid. I liked their collaborations. Their styles mixed well together, I thought. Oh wells. Now it'll be up to the DJs to bring 'em back "together" post production.=P

[50 Cent]
Yeah, let's take 'em back
Uh-huh..
Comin up I was confused, my mommy kissin' a girl
Confusion occurs comin up in the cold world
Daddy ain't around, probably out commitin' felonies
My favorite rapper used to sing, "Check check out +My Melody+"
I wanna live good, so shit I sell dope
For a four finger ring, one of them gold ropes
Lana told me if I passed I'd get a sheepskin coat
If I can move a few packs I'd get the hat, now that'd be dope
Tossed and turned in my sleep that night
Woke up the next mornin, niggaz had stole my bike
Different day, same shit, ain't nothin' good in the hood
I'd run away from this bitch and never come back if I could
[Chorus 2X: 50 Cent] + (The Game)
Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top
And I'm gon' shine homey until my heart stop
(Go 'head envy me, I'm rap's MVP)
(And I ain't goin' nowhere, so you can get to know me)
[The Game]
I told Dre from the gate "I'd carry the heat for ya"
First mix tape song I inherited beef for ya
Gritted my teeth for ya, G-G-G-G for ya
Put Compton on my back when you in need of soldiers
At my last show I threw away my N.W.A. gold
I had the whole crowd yellin' "Free Yayo!"
So niggaz better get out outta mine
For I creep and turn your projects into Columbine
And I'm rap's MVP
Don't make me remind y'all what happened in D.C.
This nig named Gotti, he pretend
Mad at us cause Ashanti got a new boyfriend
And it seems your lil' rat turned out to be a mouse
This beef shit is for the birds and the birds fly south
Even Young Buck can vouch
When the doubts was out, who gave the West mouth-to-mouth?
[Chorus 2X: 50 Cent] + (Lloyd Banks)
Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top
And I'm gon' shine homey until my heart stop
(Go 'head envy me, I'm rap's MVP)
(And I ain't goin' nowhere, so you can get to know me)
[50 Cent]
From the beginnin to the end, losers lose
Winners win, this is real we ain't got to pretend
The cold world that we in, is full of pressure and pain
I thought it would change, but it's stayin the same
[Lloyd Banks]
How many of them boys is witcha'
When you had that little TV you had to hit on to get a picture
I'm walking with a snub
Cause niggaz do a lot of slick talkin' in the club til' they coughin on
the rug
Ain't never had much but a Walkman and a bud
My role model is gone snortin' up his drug
Bad enough they want me to choke my boy
Just got poked in the throat
Now it's an Auggie shirt and my coat
Now I'm speedin', reminiscin'
Holdin my weed here, never listen
If I see him I'ma lift em
Maybe that will even the score
If not, it'll be me on the floor
[Chorus 2X: 50 Cent] + (Tony Yayo)
Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top
And I'm gon' shine homey until my heart stop
(Go 'head envy me, I'm rap's MVP)
(And I ain't goin' nowhere, so you can get to know me)
[Tony Yayo]
I started out at 15, scared as hell
I took 30 off a pack and made them sales
As a youth, man I used to hustle for loot
With that lil deuce-deuce and my triple fat goose
Sippin +Easy Jesus+, rockin a leases?
My momma wit me when she found my pieces
I look back on life, thank God I'm blessed
We the best on the planet so forget the rest
[Young Buck]
You know I'm still nice with my cook game
Look man, it's a hood thang
That's why I'm loved in Brook-lyn
I handle mine just like a real nigga should
If I do some time homey, I'm still all good
Let me show you what a thug got, born to die
I took the bullets outta 50 and put em in my .45
And I ain't even got my feet wet yet
A seven figga nigga who ain't seen award or check yet
[Chorus 2X: 50 Cent] + (Young Buck)
Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top
And I'm gon' shine homey until my heart stop
(Go 'head envy me, I'm rap's MVP)
(And I ain't goin' nowhere, so you can get to know me)

Malcolm X and MLK would have been proud.
You know what, people say stuff like that as if black neighborhoods/communities were perfect in the 40s and 50s, before the civil rights movement.
They weren't. Not even close. You had drug abuse (heroin was particulary popular), you had a lot of broken homes (Papa Was A Rolling Stone), you had folks shooting each other over stupid shit (especially when they got drunk), etc.
You didn't have gang-banging, because gangs didn't come about until after the civil rights movement, when militant black groups got bored sitting around all day with all these assault weapons, etc. And then they discovered they make huge money selling drugs. And then crack came along and then big money started being involved. Any time large amounts of illegal money is involved in something, people are bound to get killed, period. It has nothing to do with race, so much as people's own greed, as well as a lack of financial opportunites elsewhere in the community.
I just hate it when you hear old black people talking about how good things were back in the 50s or whatever, when the truth of the matter is, except for maybe gangs, you pretty much had the same social ills back then as you do now. Even if you went back 100 or 150 years, same shit.

And another thing - listen to old blues/rhythm & blues from the 40s and 50s and even the early 60s. A lot of those songs talk about going to the bar/club, getting drunk and getting into a fight with somebody - sound familar? It's no different from black music today.

Speaking of which, I heard on the radio that they've "made amends" according to the dude on the radio, but I didn't hear any details.

Nas Show Cut Short as Gunshots Fired Inside Venue
Murda Killa reports:
According to NME, a Nas concert taking place at London's Brixton Academy was cut short earlier tonight when gunshots rang out inside the venue. Speaking to the publication, one attendee reported that two shots were fired roughly 40 minutes into Nas' set: "They came from right in the center of the venue. All of a sudden everyone was pushing right to the sides, people were falling over trying to get away from where it was happening. The only place to go was in the girls' toilets on the right. There was boys, girls, whatever in there." However, an account from the BBC conflicts this, stating they believe that a man actually jumped onstage and fired into the crowd.
The incident was later confirmed by a police spokesperson, who revealed that a call was received saying that shots had been fired inside the building. "The premises have been evacuated and police are now searching the venue. The suspect is described as a black male. No arrests have been made and inquiries continue." It is not yet known whether anyone was injured.
Nas' official message board is alight with supposed accounts of the incident this evening, to varying degrees of credibility. One alleges that Nas "came back out with Dizzee Rascal and did 'Made You Look' bare-chested... no bullet-proof or nothin... crazy shit..." after the shots were fired. Another insists, "Some big guy on the stage grabs NaS and they both run off behind... Then you hear NaS laughing and sayin 'it's gonna take more than that to get me' then runs on the stage topless with his guards and jumps into the cowd while performing Made You look and then Dizzee comes on and rips it. They go back in and Quan performs Just a Moment, then LES tells us it's cancelled because of a shooting." Still another muses, "Some faggot got his dick stuck in his ass so he had to fire his fuckin gun and got the show cancelled." So basically, it's anyone's guess.
Still, response to the event on the board tonight is bug-eyed and typo-laden, warranting everything from a proper "fucking hell!" to a schizophrenic, "Whaaaaaaaat they tried to murk him or what?????" Some are shocked at the apparent lack of security in the club, while others are simply praising the former ballerina-turned-family-man for keepin' it street: "You know you from QB when niggaz shootin at you, and u dont give a fuck and you still hold it down for ur fam," asserts ElCount. Cali Slim raves, "Yo nas's is straight gangsta if that shit is for real i give that fool mad props for that shit wut up." Writes MassDaGod: "LOL @ NaS ALWAYZ Havin' a Song for ANY Situation!!! THEY SHOOTIN!!!! Ahhhh Made U Look... ROFL!!! Nas = G.O.A.T." The goat community is said to be outraged at the comparison.
This show marked the last gig of Nas' five-night UK tour, which kicked off last Tuesday with a performance at Birmingham Academy. The rapper was supporting his recently released double-album Street's Disciple and a new double A-side single ("Just a Moment" / "No One Else in the Room"). Nas has also just issued a fresh 12" featuring the non-album track "Chizzled," in three versions. No additional tour plans are confirmed at this time.[/quote]

Shots fired during UK rap concert
Nas was promoting his new single, which was released on Monday
A concert at London's Brixton Academy was halted after shots were fired as American rapper Nas performed on stage.
Police said two bullets were fired during a set by the husband of pop star Kelis at the south London venue.
The gig was stopped after the incident and the venue evacuated. No-one was hurt and no arrests have been made.
An academy spokeswoman said an investigation had been launched and dismissed reports that shots were fired from the stage on Monday night.
A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the academy at 2156 GMT on Monday following reports of shots being fired inside the venue and people running away.
Operation Trident
Det Supt Jon Bishop said: "There is nothing to suggest that this man got up on to the stage.
"We have witnesses who saw a man, wearing a balaclava, move away from the crowds and stand behind a pillar - near to the bar area - before he discharged two bullets."
Officers from Operation Trident, which deals with gun crime within the black community, would be taking over the investigation.
London Ambulance Service was also called to the venue, police said.
Brixton Academy spokeswoman Louise Kovacs said the venue had been evacuated following consultation with police.
She said there was "a high level of security" at every event.
More than 100 security staff had been working at the show and concert-goers passed through scanning and security checks at the entrance to the venue.
Nas has been touring the UK to promote his double A-side single Just A Moment and No One Else In The Room.

Shots fired during rapper Nas gig
22 March 2005
LONDON: American rapper Nas was interrupted in mid-rap on Monday when a gunman opened fire during a performance at the Brixton Academy, police said.
"We believe two shots were fired shortly before 10pm (on Monday local time). No one was injured, but the concert was cancelled immediately," a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said early on Tuesday.
The suspected gunman, a black male, was understood to have discharged his weapon into the ceiling of the Brixton Academy, one of London's most famous music venues.
Nas, who married chart topping R&B star Kelis in January, was on the final leg of a British tour.
