Well, it isn't really an unpleasant odor... but it's this sweet, musky smell that was here before I moved in. It's beginning to make EVERYTHING in the apt. smell that way... clothes, books, blarg.
I've tried to remedy this by burning incense, candles, and employing Glade plugins, but i think they're actually helping the smell stick around... all the fresheners have a sweet smell to the themselves.
any suggestions? wtf do i dO?

If its the carpet, I'd call the management. Actually, I'd call the management anyway. It might be a dead animal.
Er, Air out the apartment? I aired out my room before i moved in.

You didn't smell this before you moved in? If you were there before the smell happened, ask the other apartments if they have the same problem.

Two bottles should do the trick.
There are odourless anti-odour sprays available or you could invest in one of those ionizer air purifiers.

You can also try washing with a vinegar solution. Sure, it'll make your house smell sour for a couple of hours, but vinegar does a great job to chemically breakdown odors.

If you have carpets, carpet deoderizing poweder'll go a long way.
hahahahahahaha i've been burning horse poop
Or just take you "horse poop" fetish outside. For best effects use a garbage bag and place over head. Depending on your "tolerance" of horse poop, place 2-3 burning horse poop sticks into the garbage bag. Sit back and enjoy... HEAVEN... if you're onnihs...

i know! i'm such a doof. but i haven't been able to find anything about nag champa being made out of feces.. it is apparently only a hand-rolled blend of flowers, spices, and resins. but could resin = poop residue???? AHHHH
