Yay! I finished my application last night to grad school by emailing three old professors. I should apply to more than one but I chose one near home. I went to one in Florida before but left because the south was too racist, sexist, homophobic, violent, unprogressive for the most part, you name it. Yay. If I don't get in, I'll apply to another one. :smile:

Hey I'll need it, thanks! Two of their four specializations are int'l, comparative and Asian societies and race, ethnicity and gender. Much better than the South!

I don't know. I'm not going to say anything if I'm not and people will have hopefully forgotten this thread by then, haha!
Fortunately though, the chair where I was at said she'd be very happy to write me a recommendation. I have a ton of respect for her. She is a goddess in the south. She said I was very bright. She once told me I was extremely aware because I was "very oppressed".

Ok so Professor Kay here at YW is writing my second recommendation. The third and last rec is being written by German social theory and Matrix expert professor (lots of Frankfurt School in the Matrix).

Ok more about me me me. The fourth prof finally emailed back and said she'd be very happy to write a recommendation and that I was an excellent student (she was voted best prof in the department). Before I asked anyone for a recommendation I was absolutely positive they'd say I HATE YOU, YOU ARE EVIL, YOU ARE STUPID, I NEVER WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN and look they all wanted to write me recommendations. Anyone else have paranoia? It's too late but if I get rejected I'll ask her.
