anybody hear of this? this guy is conducting a nation wide puzzle contest to find 12 gems hidden around the country. the gems total up to $1 million altogether or something.

one of the puzzles has already been solved. i think this would be a fun diversion if done as a yw group. anyone interested? if we actually solve one of the puzzles, we could share the prize or donate it to support the site or to tsunami relief or whatever.

*edit, actually, if anyone is interested, this should be moved to yw planet.

Oh man reminds of this video game called Treasure Quest sometime around 1997. Software cost about $20 and if you solved all the puzzles you'd get $1M. Of course, no one could solve the puzzle. In fact, the company gave away the solution to the first puzzle (of four) and it required absurd leaps of logic to solve it. Actually, I'd say it's unsolvable unless you worked backwards from the solution.
