I guess now when a disc gets too scratched up we can just fry them up and eat 'em!

Victor Company of Japan (JVC) employee Fusako Adachi displays a 8cm-diameter DVD disk, which is made of vegetable based plastic at the company's office in Tokyo 03 February 2005. JVC developed environment friendly optical disks such as DVD, CD and Blue-ray disk in use of the technology of polylactic acid made by corn starch.
