How young is too young?

Would you date anyone that is younger than you?
Most guys tend to go for a younger chick. I'm 30 and my g/f is 24. When I hit 45, I want a chick that is about 19-26 years old.. :biggrin:


How about you guys/gals?

well, i've had the experience of dating someone older then me but with regards to younger women, it really depends on the chemistry and then the relationship i guess. age shouldn't be a factor. it only becomes an issue when friends and family find out, should the age difference be quite large.

Even though waiting about a few years would mean they were technically legal, so it's all kinda relative. The largest amount of age difference between myself and girls that I have been with, either on a casual date or a relationship, has been 3 years.

Well when I was younger I tended to go for older guys... I think the biggest age difference was when the guy was 25 and I was 19. But now I tend to go for guys that are with in the same age group or somewhat older but I don't think I could date a guy who was really young. Nothing below 24 and even that's pushing it for me. It would just feel strange. Although, I wouldn't say never b/c in the end if I really liked the guy I could... I think... :rolleyes:

use the "seven year" rule. divide your age by 2 and add 7. that's the youngest girl you should date.

The formula for calculating the youngest age you can date is to divide your own age by 2 and then add 7. For example, if you're 25 like myself, the lowest would be 25/2 which is...um....i dunno, something like 12.5 and then add 7 which would be 19.5 years of age which would be the youngest I could date. I find this works pretty well until you start getting hecka old then it would seem weird to say that like, if you're 60, the youngest you can date is 37, but...hey, whatever, look at Michael Douglas. The formula also doesn't seem to work very well if you're too young, cause then if you were 12 you'd end up with a number like 13 which would be higher than your own age...and...yeah, that's just weird.

My cutoff is 21. I have to be able to go out and have a drink with her (mostly it's about dancing). But I am a grown ass man I can't be messing around with any young ass girls.

I'd say 20 is the ABSOLUTE youngest I would go.
But it seems like 4yrs. younger than me is ideal- those are the girls I always end up being interested in.
I know I'm dating young- I don't know anybody older than me or my age anymore... they tend to avoid me because I'm sooo cool and they're turning into fogeys, worrying about kids, houses, prenups, all that stuff.
