Yes I identify as being Asian American but I am also an invidual. I think people here should realize that. Don't follow a herd. Herds blinds inviduals' minds. Like the herds Hilter lead. Free to be an individual.

I am asian and female and I'm sick of stereotypes, just cause I don't share views with some people does not make me a male or a white man.

YW is an AsianAMERICAN forum and should promote FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

I'm Asian American female also an HONEST individual.

so sick of "youre really a white man right?"

Nobody is denying that you're a unique individual. You just happen to be a stupid one.

BRIAN: No. No, please! Please! Please listen. I've got one or two things to say.

FOLLOWERS (in unison):Tell us! Tell us both of them!

BRIAN: Look. You've got it all wrong. You don't need to follow me. You don't need to follow anybody! You've got to think for yourselves. You're all individuals!

FOLLOWERS (in unison): Yes, we're all individuals!

BRIAN: You're all different!

FOLLOWERS (in unison): Yes, we are all different!

DENNIS: But I'm not ...

FOLLOWERS (in unison): Shh! Shhhh! Shhh!

BRIAN: You've all got to work it out for yourselves!

FOLLOWERS (in unison): Yes! We've got to work it out for ourselves!

BRIAN: Exactly!

FOLLOWERS (in unison): Tell us more!

BRIAN: No! That's the point! Don't let anyone tell you what to do! Otherwise-- Ow! No!

you have made me see the light, Cha Cha. up until this point, i had no idea i could be a free-thinking individual. now i know that my being asian doesn't mean that i should have any respect for asian cultures just because i happen to be a part of one -- after all, i couldn't control who i was born to. you have made me realize that all my liberalized, radicalized race-related opinions were really a form of brainwashing, and i will only be a free-thinking individual if i deny my racial identity. from now on, i shall deny my asian heritage, regardless of how i look (though, i plan to lighten my skin and make fun of my 'chinky eyes' so everyone will know my dedication to whiteness), and try to be as white as possible so all the white people will accept me. i shall vocally diss other asian cultures just so my new cadre of white friends will know how a part of whiteness i really am. when people fight back against me, i too shall proclaim loudly my individuality and tell all of the asian politicized communities they are sheep for caring about their asian heritage. from this day forth, my heroes shall be you and michelle malkin.

thank you, my enlightened sister. preach on.

YW is an AsianAMERICAN forum and should promote FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

You just cut out the rest of the world that participates here. Let's look at the logo on the top of this page:

What Color is Your World?
yellowworld.org
The Cultivation of a Political Asian Consciousness

Now correct me if I'm wrong (and I don't mind that), where does it say that YW is an AsianAMERICAN forum? As much as I make fun of myself being an arrogant American born in New Jersey and raised in Northern California, I do get disgusted in the end at the real arrogance on being American and so "proud" of my country. So unless I've missed something (and maybe I did, please point it out) these forums are not exclusively AsianAMERICAN.

Also, I've participated, organized, created, and studied online forums, communities, and e-mail group lists for quite a while. Freedom of speech in its PUREST form can NEVER exist on a privately owned website.

Personally, I think YW is less loose about what goes on here and more moderated. At least compared to my own forums that I administer and moderate. But you know what? There's a lot less traffic going through my own website. Probably 10% in comparison to what goes on here (which is still enough to keep my busy). So I have a lot less to worry about. Here you got an INTERNATIONAL community participating with more traffic than I want to imagine. So I personally see things of HAVING to be moderated or else chaos and anarchy ensues.

You want freedom of speech, make your own forums. Pay for your own webspace. Post your own opinions. The people who control this part of the web has their own opinions. If theirs conflicts with your's, if they find your postings to be worthless in their own opinion, well...sucks to be you.

Personally, I find YW to be down the middle in terms of control and freedom. Just don't push their buttons. I've personally been in much, much worse. Other than that, start your own little forum.

I'm Asian American female also an HONEST individual.

I see you as an Asian American female who's naive to the ways of this country and what it was built on. And very naive to what it means to be a minority.
