Sick of Asian Immigrants Abusing the System

I am sick to my stomache of all the RICH asian immigrants that abuse the system.

I know more than 20+ families that are freaking rich, immigrated to the US and living off of government money!

Let's face it, most of the asian immigrants that were able to come here in the first place is because they were so well off in their country and able to afford to come here. I have friends who are getting FULL financial aide from school and grew up in practically free government housing but their parents own homes overseas and able to buy lexus and other luxury cars by CASH. The entire K-TOWN, Garden Grove, Westminster, and many more asian business districts are evading taxes by hiring illegal Mexican workers and lying about their business profits. I KNOW it's going on because I waitressed and the owner urged me to take money under the table, he said it was good for them and me. (It's not good for me because there won't be social security when I retire). This complaint also goes out to all those Indians who have relatives in the United Kingdom and Persians who have money up the loot and getting financial aide! Guess what?! Social Security is going bankrupt and the hardcore asian nationalists aren't helping, they don't care because their goal is to get rich in their lifetime make most out of the American Dream but keep the option of LEAVING when they no longer can take advantage of it.

My father is a white collar worker and always been completely HONEST with our government regarding his earnings and never lied to take advantage of the government. It makes me so sick to my stomache to see so many of my fellow Asians taking advantage of the American system and later bitch and whine about the most minute thing. Ever think maybe there's a reason?

Well visit any one of the asian business districts, look at their workers. Almost all their hired help are illegal immigrants from Mexico. I doubt you can name any other business districts where you can see abuse of the system so blatantly to evade taxes.

It's not the projects I visitted a friend around Pasadena area her parents bought 3 luxury cars by cash yet she grew up in government housing with a nice litted pool with jacuzzi. She recieved full financial aide and bought fendi shoes with it. I asked what her parents did when they came to the states they owned a boutique selling purses and shoulder bags. Apparently they are loaded in korea and her grandparents are living in a fat pad.

Chacha, you have a point and I totally agree with it. Civilization revolves around "good" people, by good people I mean people who do whats right in their own hearts. And doing such takes honour, and courage because you have to sacrafice a lot of the immediate pleasures of life for something greater.

People are so bent on getting ahead that they forget, that we are here for such a short time, and in my opinion it's not worth it if it's all for yourself, or just your family even.

Now if they were pulling some robin hood sheisse with the money the money they saved then I'm all for it.

Well I think America is one of the few places where things like this can happen. Europe is more regulated and immigration is not as easy. Citizenship can be earned by a fake marriage here. I know of ppl who got their citizenship this way and someone offered me 38 grand if I would marry them so that they could be an American citizen (i turned them down). I think the new incoming group of asian americans in the past decades have completely abused the system and I think there should be strict policy in overlooking ethnic business that have a need to voluntarily segregate themselves and label themselves "asian district" "persian district" "latino district" ect. In my first post I did mention the well off Indians and persians as well. I know of a persian family who is abusing the system as well. Yes I don't like freeloaders because I work hard, my family works hard and it disheartens me to think when it's my time to retire social security may not be around because of these people who easily won their citizenship or visa through lies and have no deep rooted love for a country which gave them opportunities for a better life.

this does happen often in the above-named cities. while i think it's highly offensive for cha-cha to title this thread "asian immigrants..." as though *all* asian immigrants engage in such activities (i.e., denouncing the immigrants rather than the act itself), it does pose as a problem and deprives many people of benefits that they would otherwise receive.

solution: call your local legal aid foundation and file a complaint. this would be more productive than bashing on a whole race of people.

The whole walmart scandal, if you didn't know, dealt with walmarts hiring illegal mexican immigrants, and paying them below minimum wage. frankly i think that has a bigger impact on society than korean store owners or whatever. i'm not sure i understand why you decided to focus on them only?

and you are absolutely wrong about all Asian immigrants being rich. current US immigration policies are such that people with family relations to US citizens are given priority. many Asian immigrants are able to come to the US because they have relatives here already, not because they're rich. and let's not forget those Asian immigrants that are here because of their refugee statuses.

i agree that it is not right for some Asian businesses to under-report their earnings. but let's face it, that is not exactly the reason that the money in social security is shrinking. Asian Americans consist of a mere 4% of the entire American population. of this 4%, only a minority are business owners or employees of these business owners that are in the position to under-report on their taxes.

i suggest you do some reading about the pitfalls of social security before you accuse Asian immigrants to be the cause of its downfall. the most stressing problem is that people are living longer, and the generations that are entering retirement age are bigger than the generations that are still working. it's called the Baby Boom.
