i'm watching an episode of Martha Stewart Living (because the gf put it on. i didn't do it...) and i'm actually kind of surprised she actually used a Chinese strainer, Indian black sesame, and Thai satay. i would have thought her cooking would be very "white breaded".

Not surprisng since since "ethnic fushion" food is all the rage these days, and there are only so many different ways to make mashed potatoes.....

Kim makes him watch it. The fact that she watches it period still has me reeling. I think she does that the same reason all those other cooking shows do...it makes them feel hip and trendy to make ethnicity oriented dishes and use various spices. I saw the whitest woman on some cooking show talking about how she was going to make a traditional soul food meal one day.
