Am I the only one who gets annoyed by people who call over and over and over again without leaving a message? What the fuck -- is hearing me live that much better than leaving a message as to why you're calling? Christ! Is this what I get for past transgressions (http://forums.yellowworld.org/index.php?act=ST&f=12&t=2172)?
I'm not a slave to my friggen phone!

If I want to contact somebody for some reason typically I will email first. I might later followup by both phone and email if I don't get a response with 2-3 days. I think some people may get use to things like work where they may constantly have to hound and follow-up just to get simple things done and carry those habits outside also. They may also keep trying to contact you if they need something and think you don't want to talk to them or are slow to respond. They could also be anal and just want to be sure you got the message. Sometimes issues (especially at work) may be able to be resolved in 2 minutes or just sit on the shelf. Just some thoughts, I don't know who is doing the calling or what they are calling about or why. Maybe it's a recruiter ? I talked to a couple of them today.

Yes I hate it when they don't leave a message and I get like 12 unanswered calls on my cell. And when I call back the number, they say "hey, I've been trying to call you!

I hate that shit, too. People never want to leave messages. In order to try to get them to, I decided to have a "no message, no callback" policy. I refuse to call somebody back just because their number showed up on my missed calls list.

...i'm so mean....know what i did...,on my personal home voice message i just say "hello...."....(long pause)...."if you'd like to leave a message, please do so after the beep"....they think i've answered the phone and start rambling most of the time...then get pissed when they realize it's a message...by then i know who called..

I'm really bitchy. Sometimes I pick up the phone and sometimes I just let the machine take it just cuz i dun feel like picking up. i figure if it's really important, they'd leave a message, and if they don't, tough fuggin luck.

sometimes i try not to leave a msg so the other person won't have to waste a minute to call their voicemail. i usually assume my number will come up on their caller id. i dunno i hate waiting for someone to call me back so i just call to i get them. mebbe i should start leaving messages from now on tho. but usually when i call it's nothing important so i don't leave a msg.
