This is my new spot for lunch. It's a little on the trendy side, with the clientele and all having that "we're hip" aura going on, but the sandwiches do not dissappoint.

Is it better than Atlanta Bread Company? It does look trendier (more Italian or whatever).

I call that place Carb City. Never ate there. I have eaten a place like it, though. Very hip but bad for carb and wallet watchers.

we have something like that in the east coast.
they're called cosi's.
they're famous for their sandwhiches.
i'm really offended by grilled sandwhiches
masquerading as paninis.
a good panini is hard to find.

In the St. Louis area, it's still called St. Louis Bread Co.
Cosi's is a bit trendier and more 'fusion' than Bread Co.; kinda like the difference between the two pizza chains of Uno's and California Pizza Kitchen. They do have great bread.
Atlanta Bread Company does good panini and soups.

I go to Panera a couple times a week, but the line is always out the door. I wouldn't call it trendy, just yuppy.

both Cosi's and Panera Bread exist on the east coast.
i've been to both. they're both overpriced for mediocre sandwiches and maybe a cup of soup. really makes you realise that decor and location is about 90% to 95% of the restaurant business.

We don't have Cosi's here in TX, only Panera Bread. I haven't given 'em a try yet. All I know is that they free internet access.

i haven't seen a panera bread in nyc.
how are their paninis?
i'd like to try it!
i think cosi uses artwork from local artists
to help them gain exposure. it's a great idea. i think.
or maybe it's only for those couple of cosi's
i've been to.

their paninis are good but overpriced. i think Cosi has better decor than Panera Bread, but Kim's right, it's for yuppies, both of them.

Word. I prefer anything non-franchise. Support locally-owned small businesses.
