i just have cereal every morning.
i wish i can have congee and yau tiu for breakfast, too. if i worked near Chinatown, i could have it. but then i'd have to pay for it every morning i want it. actually i don't work too far from Chinatown, but i'm always in a rush to get to work in the morning though.

I don't wake up early enough for breakfast. what do you call a meal if you eat it at 4pm?

Cigarettes.
hehehe, what are you up too now? a pack a day? Whats your favorite brand of cigarettes for breakfast?
I usually eat 2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites, 4 slices of whole wheat bread, 1 cup of 2% cottage cheese topped w/canned fruit. With 1 glass of orange juice and 1 glass of water. I'm guessing this is about ~600 calories.
Sometimes I just eat whatever in the caf.

^ are you a gym rat? usually only bodybuilders can stomach eating that every day, hehe. Don't forget your oatmeal w/ protein powder :D
I usually don't eat anything. If I wake up early, maybe some cereal. Sometimes I go nuts and make steak at 6 AM. Sometimes I have leftovers from the previous day, which can include pizza and even greasier "breakfast" items.

What is congee?
Even though I'm notorious for skipping breakfast, I'm starting to eat Cheerios. Sometimes twice a day.

as a former obsessive calorie-counter, i'd venture to guess that this is closer to 900 calories... =)

rice porridge, to be exact. Koreans and Japanese eat it, too.

Protein shake, two egg white sausage and ham omelettes, four pieces of turkey bacon, and two slices of unbuttered whole grain toast.
The toast was crap. I needed orange marmalade, but ran out a week ago. Can't be assed to go buy some more.

well, it depends. I had 4 slices of bread. Most breads are around ~100-120 a slice, i eat ones which are 45 calories a slice, making this only 200 calories. I should add some veggies in there anyways, but whatever. My diet goes downhill from there. I just eat whatever the entire day, pizza, burgers, ice cream, ahha i don't care.
usually a lot of fried rice like x3 a day.

When I was little, I used to wonder what my white friends ate in their breakfast..
But usually it's coffee and some snack for me. Sometimes maybe leftover food
BTW, pho in Vietnam is supposed to be the morning breakfast type. Nobody eat pho in lunch or afternoon

it looks like Vietnamese congee has a lot more stuff in it than Chinese congee.

The vietnamese congee isn't always so fancy. It can be made plain, or just topped with some of that dried pork stuff (that looks like hairy pork), or with chicken, whatever. I've never seen Vietnamese porridge with preserved egg though, so maybe that's exclusively chinese, but I could be wrong.

I just had a cup of coffee this morning, erm technically afternoon but it felt like morning. Normally I have a cup of oatmeal and equal. Sometimes yoghurt mixed into it.
