strange ailment

so every morning i wake up, my right foot is really sore... especially around the heel.

But the strange thing is that it goes away after like 30 minutes-an hour. The soreness.. on a scale of 1-10 is prolly around a 5, I mean enough so that i have limp around for a while.

At first i thought it was because i went running the day before, but i find that even on days that i don't go running, my heel is sore. Usually after the soreness goes away I can do whatever, run, basketball, etc etc..

any ideas?

anyways, if your foot is still bothering you, rog. i think you should go see a podiatrist. not really much we can do for you except fill your head with ideas of what you might have.

anyway, there isn't much more to tell about my heel. Its dull pain, on my heel.. and its only on my right foot. I used to run a lot, and i ran the marathon last year. But I haven't run consistently for over 6 months when the foot started hurting.

I dont' really have health insurance, and the foot pain isn't overwelming or prolonged so i haven't gone to a real doctor yet.

It's an inflammation. That inflammation can cause heel spurs.
At least that's what the link says.
