Sushi Atami in Arlington, VA. it's the first Vietnamese-ran sushi place i've been to, and nothing against Vietnamese people, but this place sucked. the service sucked, and the rice wasn't even Japanese-style rice. it was regular steamed white rice, and it was even warm. kind of ruined my chirashi.

Stay away from Saigon City...you gone there yet, SunWuKong? Shitty Vietnamese food...it takes forever for the food to come to your table and it sucks. Not worth it...I think the only reason why it's just so busy all the time is cuz it's the only convenient Vietnamese restaurant in Springfield? Anyway...what IS a good sushi restaurant? And Thai restaurant, too? I wanna get something good for once.

Tako Grill, Bethesda, MD.

Unless you want to laugh at the white waitresses bowing at you for buying their overpriced sushi ($6 for ONE piece of sea urchin...).

Young Snack, Annandale, VA
The infamous English menu price hike was once in full effect. (Items on English menu are $2 or $3 more than they are on the Korean menu) Haven't been there in a while so I don't know if that is true anymore.

Sam Woo, Rockville, MD
Attitude! Shitty service. I went there with my Chinese-ex and her fobby family (circa 1998, '99) and we were all treated like shit. No water refil, no rice, no side dishes. 7 people at a 5 person table.

Ricky's Rice bowl, all locations.
Simply shitty food, capitalizing on oriental mistique as its image to attract non-Asians. All of the food is basically veggies and meat on rice. Sounds good enough, but totally crappy. The "Korean" sauce is unlike anything I've ever tasted in my life. It's like, vinegar mixed with chilipepper juice. STAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!! (Lickey's Lice Bo!)

Worst Chinese food ever. Often frequented by Capitol hill dignitaries, nuff said. If you're in the area, Chinatown isn't that far away.Don't waste your time or money on this place. Besides, they'll survive.

they can be hard to resist, but once you've gone to one 2 or 3 times a week for lunch like i did when i first moved to the area, you get sick of them real quickly.

you're not addicted to buffets unless
you have a elastic waist buffet outfit you
wear just for the outings.

do you?

*hangs head down in shame* Ok, I have a confession to make. I have this pair of sweatpants that I wear specifically to buffets (but mind you, they're hot...not the ugly, grey ones!)...it seems to expand by the end of the buffet as I do, too. :frown: And I wear this hoodie...so on my out of the buffet, I slip some pastries into the front pocket. There. I said it. *huge weight off shoulder* Wow, that wasn't too bad...shiet, now I'm in the mood for buffet. This week is fucking hell for me...EXAMS every single day!!!!!! Maybe when Friday rolls around, I'll head to one.

anyway, just had "pho" at this place in DC. It was some Deli. It was in Chinatown, right next to the China Express restaurant where they make noodles in the front window. We agreed it was awful, really, really salty and just not pho at all. Spend your $4.50 elsewhere!

Too bad it's the only walking distance pho :-/

uhh, i'd put it on the stay away list personally :P

it's not horrible, but overpriced. If I don't cook, I eat off campus almost exclusively.
