Called a Chink Today!

Here's my experience at an ATM today.

I'm waiting for this man to make a transfer on his ATM. I see this woman walking into the door in front of the bank. I realize that she stands in front of me "helping" the man through his transfer b/c he can't see very well. She tells him to press Cancel. Alright, then I realize she buds in front of me while using the ATM. Perhaps, I should just brush it off, but there's such a civilized thing as taking turns. So, I said, "um excuse me."

Biatch replies: "You came here after me."
Me: No, you didn't. I saw you walking in here.
Biatch: You were just standing there as I was walking in.
Me: which means I was here before you got into the building.
Biatch: I'm in a hurry. I have a baby in the car.
Me: Leaving your baby in the car.... yeah that's smart.
Biatch: I can do whatever I want with my baby.

She still continues with her transfer on the ATM. When she pulls her receipt out, I say, "As they say, ignorance is bliss."

Biatch replies: "You are ignorant" and she walks out the door.
Me: "So are you."


As I'm making a transfer, I hear her yell out,"Chink! Go back to where you came from!"

And I say while other people are waiting behind me,"Like I said, Ignorance is bliss."

When I walked out the door, I gave her a lovely smile as she waits for me to walk pass her wreck, which by the way, doesn't even have a baby in it.

Today was a reminder of how people can be motivated by hate so easily. <_<

I usually use one of two replies:

1) A big grin and laugh - makes me feel better and really drives people up the wall.

2) A big "FUCK YOU" just like the white racist dude in the movie "Shaft."

You'd figure telling someone "fuck you" would make them want to come kick your ass. It probably does. But they never do.

I pity the fool. When I heard "chink", I really wanted to go chase her and give her my peace of mind, but I think I've killed her with my ear to ear grin. :D

That's horrible- I also have an experience which is not as bad...but bad.
In my class, we were discussing promoting blind admissions policies at colleges/universities- She tells us to be politically correct, to use the terms Caucasian and African American- and then refers to asian people as Orientals.

Yeah, some people don't mind the word oriental, but call me PC, but I don't like that term. In the last year, I've heard caucasians/whites referring Asians as Orientals..... I've confronted 2 out of 3 of them. Fortunately, those people apologized b/c they did not know it would be offensive to me. :o

i give you much property for not stooping to her level and calling her a racial slur. that used to be a bad habit of mine--broken now--but i still appreciate it when others refrain from fighting back in the same nasty way.

the lady probably hasn't encountered very many asians in her life--probably none that stood up to her in the assertive but poised way that you did. thanks for representing us and showing her asian girls are really like. :)

I think using "chink" as an equivolent to "nigga" in your own race is a mistake in my book. I wouldn't slap someone for calling me that, but I would flat out tell the other person that I don't find that term appropriate to use at me even though his/her intentions were otherwise. I reject the word altogether.

One time I got into it with a woman who yelled that out to me (among a lot of other swears) "go back to your country" as she sped off in her SUV. Im 26 going on 27 in jan. when i was 18 i was at the dairy queen rest. and sitting in my car in the parking lot w/ a gfrend. some white clown older guy w/ a mustache and bowl cut w/ glasses looked over at me from his driver window and said "What are you looking at you fukn chink?"

He went into the rest. and when he came out i wound up and smashed him in the eye and knocked off his glasses. his friend came to his rescue and i grabbed my shiny bludgeoning hammer from my car and started swinging.

He ran back to his car and said "im getting my gun!" and everyone booked it.

cops came and told me i should let these things go. where's the hammer. i hid the hammer. i told them theres no hammer. he said ppl saw you w/ a hammer.

i said fuck that! i'm gonna kill people. I stick up for myself. He said i don't want you going after him tonite.

He let us go without charging anyone.

If anyone ever calls you anything and you happen to be in the mood to slaughter someone. Grab your favourite pipe or bar and knock someone out.

last one i heard was slant eye bastard. it was at night and i was riding my bike from school (yeah need to get a higher education, blue-collar thing doesn’t pay) i came up onto my condo when this guy happened to walk out onto the road. the guy said "get away from me you slant eyed bastard" the guy happened to be black. i was tired from working and going to class so i had to get instant gratification. long story short, we got into a verbal altercation and i just let the racial slurs fly. i know i stooped to his level but it felt so so good to do something about it this time. it was a scene of civil deevolution. i was so ready to actually use my many years of unused whoop ass training on him but luckily for the both of us he stepped down. my neighbors called the cops, i keep forgetting these days that i'm considered an adult by the law.

gotta unnerstand that to sum ppl, like me, tha word "chink" is appropriate when used between ppl who are, indeed, chink...i dont mind it if a chink friend calls me dat...but only as long as muh frend is chinese...

i dont think iss as strong a derogatory word as it used ta be...chink is like a word of endearment between chinese, naw mean?
