traits you want in a girlfriend/wife

What do you AA men want in a girlfriend or wife? What do you need to be happy or flourish?

you know, the women that i've been attracted to doesn't always have the traits that i think i want. so i don't even know what the point is in thinking that i want certain traits in a girlfriend.

but for a wife, i would want that she be very immersed in chinese culture. chinese language is a must because i want to raise my kids to be at least bilingual. i would want her to have a life outside the home. i would want her to be sharp and clever and ready to kick my ass if i did something wrong.

- lose that chip on your shoulder (I really don't care who did what to ya in the past and don't take that shit out on me!)
- lose the anime-like cutesy voice. I know you're trying to be cute. But, it gets on my nerves.
- equal or somewhat equal education level
- able to tolerate me not being home for periods of time, applies to work and play.
- ability to hold her own, if something happens to me (ie death).

- independent has a life of her own, outside of the marriage
- no extreme views
- not religious


As to her being Chinese or not, I don't care at this point.
Virgin or not, not an issue with me
Preferably, no baggage i.e. kids and large amount of debt.
Cooking and cleaning not a requirement
