There's a lot of focus on the Presidential race, but are there any interesting races in Congress where you live? Currently, Republicans hold a majority in both the House and Senate. With one party controlling two branches, legislation has been generally easier to pass. There are 34 open seats in the Senate and 31 in the House.

Some of the currently Democrat seats that will be open are due to failed and current bids on the Presidency -- Daschle, Gephardt, and Edwards. Fritz Hollings is retiring (woohoo!).

Regardless of how someone may feel about the Presidential election, they should realize they have more impact at the state and district level.

No, Congress person is Rosa DeLoro, I don't think she's going anywhere. Chris Dodd is my Senate man, I doubt the red pigs will get him out either. Rob Simmons, is from the district over, I want his ass out. He such a pussy ass bitch when it comes to the interests of Connecticut. All he does is follow the Republican party and forgets, that he's from CONNECTICUT NOT GEORGIA. Such a loser. I hope the little fat Irish guy beats his ass.

jo bonner is our district house representative, and there is no race to speak of for his position. my boss is so well politically connected that bonner himself is right now sitting in my boss's office talking to him (and collecting a campaign donation of course).
