If you had been dating a guy for about 2 months and at some point he felt that he wasn't ready for a serious relationship, and somehow he was getting more and more attached to you and was starting to feel vulnerable, and in the end he freaked out and ran out on you.
What would be the best way for him to make it up to you?

I get the feeling that she's really mad at me, which means that it still matters.

Probably stop being an asshole. There's no way to make something like that up except for future good behavior and non crazitude.

I tried to, I cancelled a trip over the weekend to just to meet her in person and tell her. But she didn't pick up on saturday, and on sunday she said she wasn't comfortable in seeing me at the moment. Hence, I'm running out of ideas on how to tell her and I'm asking you guys.

Sit back and wait, that's all you can do. If there is something there she will call back and you guys can pick up where you left off. If she doesn't then there were probably other issues besides this incedent. In the future I don't suggest doing stuff like sacrificing trips for yourself. Just my $1.50.

How about sending her a single rose with a note attached ? Is that too cliche?
I'd suggest sending her something simple that's not too overwhelming, but just a lil sumn sumn so she knows that you are really thinking about her and not just trying to get her in the sack.

Yeah, a rose would be too cliche.
I just wrote on my online journal that I was sorry for the things I did, and that's what I wanted to tell her.
I also uploaded the song "Reason" from Hoobastank as background music, I know it's a bit cliche, but that song says everything I wanted to say.
If she ever gets to see that then good, but I guess meanwhile it's time for me to move on
Thanks for the advice y'all

If I were that girl...the only thing that would suffice is for you to GET ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES and kiss the ground I walk on, BIATCH!!!!!
Beg and sound like you mean it! Muhahaha...nothing like that to give that girl a big boost back.
Nawh, but seriously...back the fuck off. Don't smother her like some desperate dirty, one-eyed dog. Give her time to think about how much she misses you, not time to get a restraining order on your ass. Just wait. Hope that helps, g'luck. Have fun bar-hopping in the mean time.

If you're serious about this you'll just have to make yourself available for like the next month and 1) be patient 2) risk rejection. I don't know the female in question so I don't know what will 'work' on her but that sounds like some crazy mind game shit even though I realize you didn't intend it to be so. Just thinking from her point of view.
I'd recommend starting out with a handwritten, very simple, letter.
*sorry blah, blah, blah
*reasons, the all important "why" - keep to about 3-4 sentences
*you would like to start over
*you'll let her decide how she feels in her own time
Then wait. I think less is more in this case. Too many extremes already. Be straight, keep your communication simple.
heres what you can do. i'd leave a note signed by an anonymous person (that being you of course) confessing how much you liked her and etc etc etc. tell her to meet you at whatever whatever. show up and spill your guts about how youve been feeling(explain what you said in your original post). and then if she ignores you..then i suggest you do what sophia does and get on your knees and beg like bitch just like keith sweat does in his songs. my advice, get another chick. she probably feels like shes the "back up goods" for the original.

She had an on-line journal just for the 2 of us. Last week I bumped into it and noticed that she hadnt been there since we broke up. I wrote a message similar to what you're saying, but I guess she found out over the weekend and deleted the hole page.
that's when I decided to cancel my trip and tried to contact her to tell her how sorry I am.
But since she chose not to listen to me saying that to her face to face, I just left a message on my on-line journal saying how sorry I was, in case she ever gets curious about what I'm up to.
I think I did all I could to show her how sorry I am, and like you guys said it's better to back off and let her think on her own.
You're right, I've thought about how this would look if I was in her shoes, and it all looks like a really fucked up game.
And talking about my online journal, it always marked 0 or 1 visitors b4 since it was empty, and I'm sure the only visitor was her bc she always nagged me about having such a boring page, but now that I wrote that apology and uploaded that song it says that I had 10 visitors yesterday and so far 1 today

That's okay, we can meet you at the wedding !
Oh.. btw, try writing the girl a lettter. A real letter, no email, no v-mail, a handwritten letter with nice paper, a nice pen, and spray some cologne on it and hand deliver it wit a big ribbon wrapped around it (blah blah blah blah blah blah), etc. Mebbe write her a poem.

I think I did more than enough, too much sweetness might get her sick, so I'm just gonna leave things as they are.
Thanks for the advice though, I appreaciate it

You've watched "Meet the Parents" 1 toooo many times.
golden_buns: I guess if you've been sweet enough to her, you should really think about changing the game and just start treating her like shit. Girl respond to that because they want to be liked and it'll bother them that you're not liking her. They get all crazy, thinking to themselves "what's wrong with me that he's so mean to me?" Then they'll decide "i'm gonna make him like me." kna mean ?
