When I did eat meat

my favorite generic Chinese dish was

Hunan Chicken (extra spicy)

Now, its hunan Tofu or Vegetarian General Tso's Chicken.

Whats yours?

I am guessing alot of people are gonna say General Tso's Chicken

Iono what it's called.

It tastes just like something we call bakes in the West Indies. Kinda a fried roll. Except unlike bakes, it's really light and it was covered with powdered sugar.

I'm guessing generic cliched Chinese dish is Americanized Chinese food?

If so - chicken with string beans

otherwise -
braised pork knuckle in brown sauce with preserved vegetables

or

beef brisket over rice

or

congee with pork and preserved egg

or

too damn many to list :P

When not worrying about carbs, I go with General Tso's and fried pork dumplings.

When trying to lose a few pounds, I go with the BBQ spareribs and fried chicken wings. I've lost 5 pounds in a week eating that and I don't seem to tire of it.

If I break down and put some sauce on the spare ribs, I'll wait an hour and do 40 minutes of cardio workout to burn off the sugar while it's in the bloodstream before it gets converted and stored as body fat.

Is shrimp wonton soup a cliche chinese dish? I love BIG, FRESH shrimps in thin wonton wraps and lots of green onions or chives in the soup.

Sizzling Rice Soup.

(And it's a damn shame when they can't make that rice sizzle like the sound of a standing ovation.)

Hrm. Dee-prived yee-ou are. <* Yoda voice *>

We seem to order it a lot.

It's really a great soup: Mixed veggies. Small slices of meat. Crunchy stuff.
