Fast walking Asian women

I'm not sure if this is just something with all women or what, but my sisters and mother have this in spades...anytime they go to the mall or are walking down the street, it's an EXTREMELY fast pace, and I mean compared to women of other races, it's basically like the mall cops could set speed traps for them. I've been to the mall at other times and seen other asian females practically walking at paces much more brisk than others, and if it's coincidence or not, I just don't know. :confused:

i used to walk fast during college going from class to class. i wish i had a reason to walk as fast now..... keeps my metabolism up.

lol, when i'm at school, my strides are as long and as quick as possible. (stupid people just freakin STAND COMPLETELY STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY GAHH!) it's so annoying. if my friends and i are on our way to lunch, going to the cafeteria, i'm always like 10 feet ahead of all of them. and then it feels awkward, so i stop, and wait for them to catch up. "do i walk too fast, or are you guys just too damn slow??" :tongue: :wink:

hahahaLOL....my mother walks like a drill sargeant possesed and what makes it even more ludicrous is that at the great old non-height of 4'11 she outwalks people double her size like my dad...it never fails to amaze me...i on the other hand walk veryyyy slowwwlyyy which annoys the hell out of her :tongue:

It's weird. When I'm walking with my white friends, I'm ahead of them all and it annoys me whenever I turn back...they're, like, ten steps behind me. But when I'm with my Asian friends...I'm huffing and puffing trying to keep up with them. :rolleyes:

i only walk fast when i have to (tardiness, bypassing crazies, etc). why rush if it's not necessary? my mom doesn't walk particularly fast, nor do any of my asian friends. what is this phenomenon you guys speak of??? do the self-proclaimed constant-speedwalkers just speedwalk through leisurely activities like mall shopping or grocery shopping?

however, when i drive, i rush to get to my destination as fast as possible. even if i'm not late for anything.

exactly, unless the puropse of my walk is to take a stroll, i usually walk pretty fast

My friend, Joy (taiwanese) walks super fast. To the point that my ex-gf and I dubbed Joy the nickname, 'Speedwalker'.
