Because I'm too ignorant to know what a Korean restaurant would be called, I called it "Korean restaurant." If there's a certain type or name to call them let me know and I'll change the title.
Okay, here's my submission.
Du Ku Bi (think that's the name)
Owners have changed but they still speak Mandarin as well as Korean. Dumplings are still good (if pricey, IMO). Jellyfish salad is superb and I hear the same about the snail salad. Best thing for me is the hand-pulled noodles. Seating is limited so you get your food relatively fast.

Seoul Garden and Korea Garden are the two that I frequent in H-town.
Seoul Garden also serves sushi. Other entrees beside BBQs are very good especially the stirred fried spicy squid.
Korea Garden has been in business longer. Nice seafood pancake and BBQ stuffs, but other dishes are not so great. However, the Yook Hae is da bomb.

oh man, i was telling meena that he was totally converted. for YEARS i had been getting him to try korean bbq and he kept poo-pooing it but now, now is a different story. now he seeks out bbq places without any prompting from me.
no female has yet been able to resist feeding him. old French grandmothers have been known to give him extra helpings from their food stands.

My apartment in Arlington VA. Best half-assed attempts at Korean food ANYWHERE. Awesome store bought kimchi, bottles of marinade that I will use to make you specially special meat dishes and yo, a Yan Can Cook rice cooker. Can't beat the service, food comes directly to your ass sitting on the couch from the kitchen a mere 10 feet away by a smoking hot hapa who might have taken a shower that day

i was too busy gazing into your eyes adoringly to notice the name of the restaurant.
sheesh.

Shik Do Rak - at the corner of Hoover and Olympic in LA's K-Town. Best Korean food I've ever had and always a first stop whenever I come home from school.

Yeah, 2 brothers is good. I think there's actually TWO of them, not very far from each other on Geary. The food was the same as far as I could tell. The old Vietnamese restaurant on 5th street is now a Korean place called 2 SISTERS. Gotta love that Asian entrepeneurial spirit!

Apple and Tapestry could probably give better info than me, but...from this head whut be lovin' him some Korean joints...
Gam Mee Ok in Koreatown is the shiznit after a night of drunk and the joint right across the street from it (I forget the name) is real nice, too.
Won Jo for the naeng myun.
Han Bat a few blocks up is noice, real noice. Good soondae and ojinguh bokeum. Space is great, too.
Hangawi is perfect for vegetarians and the space is like an anasthetic to the hustle and bustle of the city. Great for dates.
Dok Suni in the E. Village is good with the food and drink, but gets too crowded with local heads and I don't like eating when the people sitting next to you can get up and their buttcheeks can scrape the side of your table. Peeps are THAT close to you. You can't even talk about shit to your mates, but if you're a writer in need of ambient conversation noise for ideas, you'd be in heaven. Go on a odd night out and sit at the bar instead, if there's space.
Choga on Bleecker in the Village. It's almost like an izakaya but it's a better alternative to the Japanese joints on the same block.

Korean food is expensive and some places take forever to give you your fucking katsu chicken (FUCK YOU BITCHES). I'm over it. I'd rather not frequent these places.

My favorite is the Blue Opera in Songtan City. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're rich with sofa's for seats and large solid oak tables. The entrees are by far the best in this city and the drink list is 4 pages long. All fruit beverages are made in the restaraunt and all the meals are served in a beautiful display of color and creativity. This place has the best Chap Che, Bi Bim Bap, Bulgogi, and Cucumber Kimchi. If any of you are in the neighborhood. it's definitly the place to eat!
