hmmm... i think my third grade crush has kind of caused me to be attracted to tomboys, because she was a tomboy.
she emigrated to the states when we were in third grade. my family emigrated when i was in fifth grade. i wonder where she is and how she's doing.
EDIT (Jan 8th, 2004): this post has been edited because the original was too cheesy. and damn you, ChottoMatte, for digging this thread up.

Oh, man, third grade crushes --
The start of this, "Gosh. Why am I attracted to this scrawny, four-eyed kid, with the missing left tooth"?

I remember Erin in kindergarten...ah, beautiful Erin...I remember it was definitively uncool to like girls back then, but I couldn't help it. She wore the greatest burgundy mary-janes ever, and once comforted me when I was emotionally devastated by some other kids refusal to yield right-of-way on the monkey bars.

I remember an Erin. She liked to be chased by the boys. I was too fat to track her down. :frown:

course it was just a phase and it passed. didnt even think much of it seeing her around in HS

I bumped into my fifth grade crush at a football game not too long ago. And she actually seemed interested in me.

it's weird when you find out your crush became a lesbian. Makes it seem like you weren't quite the loser you make yourself out as when you find out she wasn't too keen on pricks.

Ahh....to borrow a line from Sarah Mclachlan, "memory seeps from my veins." Jason... the one with the blue eyes and blond hair. Just little kids yet we bonded over making sandcastles by the shore while our mothers laughed at our innocent playfulness. We frolicked in the waves in the warm embrace of the sun and splashed around in the pool. Those were the days. I knew him for only one day at the beach but I've always wondered whatever happened to him. I still have pictures to bring back those memories and they bring a smile to my face from the childhood I once knew.

It's a much weirder and more disturbing feeling to look at the picture of a high school crush (a photo at 14 years of age) and realize you still feel something.

Somewhat, except for the fact that at the time I had an 11th grade crush. And in any case, I would've never had the balls to ask for her number.

that's how i feel about my middle school crush. it was a crush that last three whole years. i recently came across his name on the internet, and just the sight of his name made me all tingly.
edit: actually the sight of any of my crushes from middle school and on would make me react. my crushing was intense back then.

Dannng! 3 years eh? Well I shouldn't be one to talk since my crushes lasted a long time as well. I smile now when I reminisce back to those silly days

Back in the 3rd grade girls had major cooties.
Who the hell wanted girl germs? Ew.

he approached me. he said i looked exactly the same (er, thanks? i haven't aged in 14 yrs, apparently.) i was pretty cautious cuz i didn't know who this weird guy was who knew my name. i made him tell me his last name too, before i believed him.
i dunno if he was just amused to see me, or if he was trying to hook up with me. he asked me for my #. and i gave it to him. i didn't know how to avoid it. our moms run into each other at the gym, so i figured he was sane (stupid reasoning maybe, but whatever.) i'm *hoping* that his intentions are platonic.

OOohhh 3rd grade, eh? I liked 2 boys. Brian Sue and Henry Mac. They were good friends. Brian was the shy one. Henry was the really cool one. I remember when a bee flew in the classroom, I screamed and grabbed onto Henry's arm. That was funny.
Now, what if your school crush was, was, was --

most of my teachers were all old or ugly, or a combination of both. i had two decent-looking teachers. however, one was gay, and the other had back hair that sprouted out of the neck of his polo shirts, ick.

I can remember once in grade school and once in junior high, thinking that, "dang, that teacher's kinda cute."
But then, I needed psychological attention back then. :frown:

I played with my Third Grade crush on a regular basis. She left in the Fifth Grade and I only saw her briefly in the 10th Grade when I had to attend a play at her high school. Sigh.

Adam.
I saw him not too long ago. I was going to say hi, but was too mesmerized by how geeky he looked (not the cute kind of geeky). And his ears! I first noticed him when I was five because his ears were always red and they turned to beets when he was embarrassed. I had never seen anything like that before then. I always had the urge to flick them. I saw his ears in an electronic store a few months ago and immediately knew it was him before seeing his face. And I still had the urge to flick them.
I remember thinking he was geeky back then, but apparently everyone thought I liked him.
Who can blame them? I told him we were gonna marry. Actually, I think we got married on the playground one year, but I asked for a divorce and alimony to support our imaginary kids and he got pissed. After that I'd just blurt out "will you marry me" to weird him out. His ears would get redder and sometimes I'd flick them.
I don't think I really liked him.
I should have jokingly proposed to him that day.
Oh, well. Maybe next time.

You know what, I remember girls liking me in third grade because I was unusually smart. I mean, I had that wavy, crazy ass afro and dressed nerdy and all that, but girls actually liked me just cause I was smart. That's all it took. Why isn't it like that now??????

Oh, it was the same in my highschool overseas. All the popular guys were also the best students. Even the "gangsters" back then had good grades. Musta been all the Asian moms.

In third grade I went to 2 different schools.
I came from a private Baptist school into the public school system marvel called the Los Angeles Unified School District.
I am proud to say that due to my exposure to the public school system, I learned:
1) how to cuss
2) how to talk back to teachers
3) lie
4) cheat
5) steal
and most importantly
6) how to play catch and kiss.
Back then, we had two fifth grade girls that watched our class and 1 had big boobs (this coming from an 8yr old mind) and the other was super cute. Some hispanic chick. w00t.. !

I had a crush on this guy named Dennis Adams (wow, my memory serves me well for once!) Except he liked this other girl who waddled like a duck and ate boogers when she thought no one was looking! :frown:
It's ok, I finally got him fifth grade but then moved onto his best friend...NEVER do me wrong with another girl who thinks boogers is a special delicacy. Biatch.

I used to like this black girl. Then I stopped and liked this white girl. Then I like this other white girl. Then I liked the asian girl for a long time. Then we went away for summer and I never saw any of them again. LOL.
there was this one chick i thought was really cool back in 3rd or 4th grade. her name was minalla. i thought the world of her. but for some reason she was always beating on me. i remember once, she had a hand full of my hair and threatened to kill me. and there was this other time where she had stabbed me with a sharp pencil. freaked the hell out of me. i thought i was going to die because of "lead" poison. haha. why she did all those things to me, i didn't know at the time. but i'm sure it was because of me teasing/messing with her. it was my stupid way of showing i liked her. i dunno. her cousin was one of my best friends. at least some good came out of the torture.

there was this girl, tiffany, back then. happa. but yeah, i'd always be nervous around her. for the may dances thing, i was extremely nervous about holding her hands, and it turned out i ended up being *next* to her, which was okay with me. and in phys ed, we had tennis classes (it was a private school ) and the coach was the father of a friend, and he teased me about it because we were partners in a game, and i'd just smash one straight back at the tennis ball launcher everytime he said something...actually, now that i think about it, i had a crush on her since first grade. as it was, her mother was a racially self-hating arrogant bitch, so i guess things worked out for the best.

If this is the same woman they're talking about all over the place today here, she's from Bridgeport, CT and was doing "disgusting thigs" with the 8 year old, as her little daughter said.

She had sex with the child!
In that one love letter they showed on the news it seems that the woman was trying to hide the relations from her child, but from what the girl said to the police, it's evident that the she knew about it all.
The woman's mother thinks she needs help. I thought so, too.
But that's not enough.
If she were a male, I would have immediately thought that he should be castrated with a dull and rusty knife without anesthesia and then given a a tube of Astroglide and thrown in a cell to share with Bubba.
Cases like these expose society's bias.
