dude this whole week random cars been trying to race my car on cold nights.

Tues - coming bak from my friend pho's house in hacienda i run into a Green Lotus Esprit S4 modified. So i roll up next to it and light turns green its rev and dumps its clutch and im like wtf so i kick in my boost and try to keep up we get on the 60 west and it runs into sum dorks in a Legend and a Altima and they try cutting thru traffic and me since im chatting away on the phone watch as the lotus his 140-160mph and smokes them both. Then the lotus slows down and wants to play w/ me and play we do all the way back to torrance... Dam that car was mean everytime it floored it, its exhaust would crackle and flame and it could chirp at over 100mph. And it brakes good too since sum SUV almost ran into us on the 110 cut me off put on my Z brakes and the lotus too.

Then weds im driving my friend tams home and i see sum mustang all fast and stupidous styled watching TV when hez driving and then dum arse puts on his neon underlights and takes off, that infuriates me no Rustang w/ gay altezzas and neon lights is gonna smoke me. So i kick in the boost in pursuit and smoke him and get ahead but then gotta exit after only 2 exits so i slow down knowing dude i wont let sum wannabe paul walker faggot watching TV beat me.

dam street racers. why do they needa bug me driving around to and fro my friends homes. bah.

I had a funny race a few months ago. This dude pulls up to a red light in a 5.0. I hear a female snicker from the car as she is rolling up the windows and see the driver, which is a black guy in his mid-50's and what looks to be his MOM in possibly her mid-70's. He revs his car a couple of times and chirps his tires and I drive like normal til the next red light. He revs his car again one time. The light turns green and he chirps his tires again but this time I let him have it. I don't even bother doing a drag launch and just gas the car hard. By the time I'm about one second into 2nd gear (shifting early in 1st before 6000rpm because I've already whooped him), I'm already ~2 cars in front. By the time 2nd comes, I realize what a waste of gas it was to race him.

Yeah I used to get that as well and I only drove a ford with a grand total of 80hp!

As and when I get my new motor then I'll get my own back!

what the heck has 80hp my dog makes more power.

Yeah I know, I live in the u.k and we don't have anywhere near as much choice as you guys and they're also a lot more expensive.

If you do want a laugh then heres the weblink to a picture of my car. I don't have a website to host the pics so sorry.

Nothing to laugh about. That is probably the sort of car you need for those insane petrol fees.

if i lived in uk i'd want a grey market 200sx s15 type. like a japanese s15 silvia basically. Spec-r Aero w/ Optional front bumper (carbon lip) and i'd modify it w/ Blitz stuff just like my 240sx (200sx).

Tell me about it on the extortionate petrol fee's, Its about 8 dollars a gallon over here!

Can't wait to get a motor with some power.

That's like my car without tuning.

two words for your bad gas mileage:

"Heavy Foot"

Theoretically mods like intake increase gas mileage
but you also forget

Mods = Increased Foot Weight.

Your foot gets heavier cause you like listening to your intake/exhaust. etc.

Same thing happened to me on my way to Chillers years ago. I was on 190th heading towards Harbor when I spot this black 300Z TT with a trick chrome exhaust. Nice and shiny. I pointed it out to my passenger and said how clean it looked. Anyhow, I pull up to a red light and see him staring at my front tire, seeing his female passenger grab onto the A-pillar handle. I didn't think anything of it, but when the light turned green, he floored it. As soon as I heard his tires screech, I guess it was gut instinct but I also floored it, making the whole duration of 1st gear totally useless. In 2nd gear my tires bit and pulled me and my friend well up to the Z. It took the rest of 2nd to overtake the Z, and as it happened, I spotted the driver shaking his head in denial at his instrument display. I waited for him at the next red light, and gave him a thumbs up. He rolled his window down and said 'Nice' and I said the same....

Sometimes people aren't assholes after all....

thats incorrect.

for mrazntre and ren they are running uprated sized injectors that means more fuel flowing conversely more fuel used. in my case and ren and tre our cars and 537's are forced induction. Ie turbo or supercharged...most mods to increase boost curve or as a safety measure (low comp head gasket/ pistons, high flow fuel rail/ fpr/ crazy fuel pump) all decrease gas mileage. i cannot think of one turbo car w/ wonderful gas mileage same w/ any large V8s of the same power.

Mods for examaple mine that woudl decrease my gas mileage: larger and very wide wheel and tires, fuel pump, raised boost pressure, altered boost curve, denser air charge for better combustion, purposely running slightly rich to protect against detonation cuz of cali's cock 91 octane fuel.

13-16 mpg on the street. On the track, my baby gets 4 mpg. That's right. 4.

With higher flow injectors, I am still forced to run at a higher duty cycle than normal (91 octane is fux0red!!!!). I have my piggyback (injector management for fuel curve modification) set at +30% at idle, then +12% at 2Krpm, +14% at 4K, then +18% at 6K (then +16% at 7200). If I pussy-foot it I can get maybe 18mpg. But that is gingerly monitoring my gauges to never get on boost.

But wylin's right. With Forced Induction, you naturally need more fuel. As with any combustion engine, the more oxygen the Intake Manifold sees (on some cars it's detected with a Mass Air Sensor) the more petrol product you need to be oxidized. In the case that the engine cannot fully burn the oxygen, thermal energy is absorbed by the excess gas and in effect, becomes superheated. This is the thermal energy that melts pistons into goop spilling out of your muffler (or exhaust turbine in a turbocharged vehicle). To prevent this, the MAS senses the amount of oxygen and dumps enough fuel accordingly. Run more boost, use more fuel. In Naturally Aspirated cars, you run at 100% throttle, you use more fuel. This effect is amplified by Forced Induction because you don't need to go full throttle to really get the engine breathing...

Me, wylin, ren, and Sy can all attest to loving those nights right after a cold rain. The air is cold and damp, and very dense. All our cars are breathing much more oxygen in, and our cars make more power. The expense of that is of course fuel. (And speeding tickets/new tires/scared girlfriends)

Now that's what I call running rich....

And I assume you're running a cat, so if you're shooting flames, goddaaaaamn that's a lot of fuel!!!

I also shoot flames at night/during the day but ummm......my cat is kind of....empty. lol
