as this campaign wears on, i find myself less and less excited about kerry. statements like this:

"Once again, the Bush administration failed to stand up for American companies and workers at the WTO, and as a result, unfair trade practices are hurting our economy and middle class families," found here (http://news.lycos.com/wired/story.asp?section=Business&storyId=914850), and another article here (http://www.iht.com/articles/537022.html) indicate kerry might be much more protectionist than bush. it doesn't mean i would vote bush instead of kerry, but i think that if he was elected, i would vote against him for a 2nd term. hardly a ringing endorsement from a bush-loather. he needs to quit doling out this populist crap. if he's as smart and deep thinking as he wants to portray himself, he doesn't need to be espousing policies that don't make economic sense.

Democracy is generally opposed to sound economic policy. It was possible under moderate Democratic leadership but who knows what Kerry would do. He could be just pay lip service to the protectionists right now and could really be a Clinton Democrat.

oh of course. democrats are usually more economically protectionistic than republicans, and i don't expect Kerry to be any different. even though i don't like that, i still think Kerry would do a better job with a range of other issues.
