It just will not end...this time in Philly. The cast is pretty same old, same old though.

Eventually, they're gonna hit all the major cities in the US.
And I don't think they like foreign cities, since there was that French one and that was it.
But I still think we're gonna see a Real World Tokyo before this is all over. Or maybe not- it's probably too expensive, there's the language barrier, and I don't think the Real World type of people would enjoy living in Japan.
So will they start having Real World: Springfield, IL?

Currently watching this now...the black girl, Shavonda has just said, "I'm dating a white guy...it's really hard. But I really like white guys....a white guy would catch my eye quicker than a black guy." I'm loving her already.

No AM or even a Hapa male -- not surprised. Atleast there's a Hispanic male, tho.

Yeah, the official MTV website say's she's "black." This ghetto website said she's Indian. I edited. It would awesome if she was Indian. Man, why the hell didn't they do that.

Well, she does have that "quirk" of loving the white guys, so there should be some slight amount of controversy amongst the ranks at the least.

They did Lodon one season.
RW in other countries are boring IMO.
I think they will do one in Tokyo. I don't see the language as that big of a barrier if they stick close to like most Americans lived.

Cool. Man, why couldn't she love AMs.

Actually, I think that'd be cool because I'm tired of seeing people living it up in a city I can't afford to live in.

I'd pay to watch Real World: South Central
Get the same mix of cast members and watch them all DIE.

I still more fond of the idea of "Real World: Tokyo" with an all white cast except for the token black guy and Asian girl that only dates white guys.

no way, i want to see Real World Baghdad!
i can see it now. scenes where whiny kids in their early 20s argue about who's being an asshole to whom while shouting outside to tell Iraqi insurgents and US soldiers to quiet down because they're having a serious conversation.

Word. MTV should assign them a job either running a prison or driving a Halliburton delivery truck. And if they fail their lil' projects they get to stay there for good.

I saw them all around town this summer when I lived in Philly. I've never been a big fan of the show though.
Apparantly since the house location was disclosed so early, they had security issues all summer. The house was pretty close to where I worked actually...about 4 blocks away.

Real World: Tokyo would be great.
There's supposed to be a former child star in the Philly cast. Which one is it?
kitty
09-08-2004, 02:31 PM
willie is the former child star... he was on... ghost writer? ghost rider? whatever, that kid's show.
willie and karumo (i know i'm killing that spelling) are the two openly gay men on the cast. it's the first time RW has cast two openly gay cast members in the same season. they represent the opposite ends of the "gayness spectrum": willie is rather effeminate and flamboyent, and never had to come out to his cast members, they just kinda knew. karumo is pretty butch and masculine and preferred hanging out with the white male straight cast members than with willie, so he had this whole coming-out drama in the first episode where he made a production out of coming out to each person "at the right time". the camera people prolly played it up.
i pretty much have no opinion on this season's cast yet. i was actually more excited about the amazing race.

you too?!?! i had a crush on one of them. i'm a big dweeb, i just tried hunting his name down online (ahem, http://www.tvtome.com/Ghostwriter/). i think his name was alex on the show. i don't think it's the RW guy.
back on topic, the RW casting has been so very disappointing in recent years. i haven't seen this one yet, but it doesn't sound so good.

Anyway when are they gonna do RW Tokyo?
Filiprish

That's what I'm wondering. But I think they'll do RW Toronto or Vancouver or Madrid or Barcelona before Tokyo. I don't think Tokyo is quite ready for a RW.

i have no opinion yet on philly either. but i do like the two gay guys at the opposite ends of the spectrum. i was kinda getting tired of the gaysploitation and stereotypical flaming gays. it's nice to see a very masculine gay guy.
btw, my fav season is still NEW ORLEANS. I love Julie! and who can forget David, "Com'on be my baby tonight!" Woot!

My mom thought the Black guy was "flaming," though. She walked in when he was introducing himself on the museum steps. She said it was obvious at that moment.

Me, too. I bet they'd feel weird.
I think it's the saline ones that sound like a shaking bag of water when shaken outside of the body. I wonder if it makes any sounds once implanted.
It was cute how MJ jumped back when asked to touch.

can't you just touch your own?
is it just me, or do gals not mind touching each other's boobs for at least 'educational' purposes.
i mean ... you'll never catch a guy asking to feel another guy's wang to see if it's real or "feels nice"
