i saw an MTV episode of "Making the Movie," at it appears that Trey Parker and Matt Stone conjured this idea up as a satire of our current U.S. foreign policy... a main theme revolves around the fact that a lot of Americans (including our marionette heros) are oblivious to the growing anti-american sentiment in the world, but continue to police the world as if it is their divine duty.

and omg, kim jong il looks fucking hilarious. the creators said that they studied the real kim jong il's bio, and basically accentuated all his little quirks and deranged lifestyle. it doesn't bother me that he's got the normally Japanese "R/L" slip, because it IS funny, albiet inaccurate. i can't wait to see it.

Meh. I'll probably watch it when it's out on DVD. I usually find that it's not worth my time or money to watch these type of films in the theatre.

But I might make an exception for "The Incredibles."

In South Park The Movie, during the international rendition of Kyle's Mom's a Bitch, Cartman dons "African" attire and blackface and starts singing in African-style gibberish.

I know better than to be offended by these guys since everyone's fair game. Rather than resort to stereotyping for laughs, I always got the sense they mock the stereotypes themselves for laughs. I thought their dodgeball episode of South Park was great.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone appeared on the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to promote their movie "Team America: World Police" and showed a scene with North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Il. The movie's official website also features a Kim pop-up that speaks gibberish in a mock Asian accent.

Best known for creating "South Park" on Comedy Central, Parker and Stone have been accused of peddling adult content to children. You just know that Asian kids will be harassed with broken Engrish jokes, profanity, and Kim Jong-Il gibberish after this.

Parker and Stone were also interviewed on primetime by CBS 60 Minutes. Not surprisingly, media conglomerate Viacom owns CBS/60 Minutes, Comedy Central/South Park, and Paramount Pictures which produced the film.

Saw it, and I have to admit it was bizzarely funny. Alec Baldwin, we hardly knew ye.

The "ego/immature" side of me laughed, but the serious side of me can see why everything in the movie offends just about everyone.

Roger Ebert gave it one star and said "... Team America: World Police is an equal opportunity offender ... they don't have a plan for who they want to offend, only an intention to be as offensive as possible."

That won't disuade people from going to see it. I'm just worried about the kids and teens that will find a away to get into the theatres ... and they definitely be able to get it on DVD which will included the edited scenes that caused it to get the initial NC-17 from the MPAA.

The movie ended like a lot of the south park eps, with one of the characters giving that "i learned something today" speech -

"There are three kinds of people in this world," Johnston says. "Dicks, assholes and pussies. We're dicks, and the rest of the world are pussies. But sometimes an asshole comes along and wants to shit all over everyone, and the only kind of person who can fuck an asshole is a dick, because pussies are just an inch away from being assholes themselves. Sometimes dicks fuck assholes at inappropriate times, and they need pussies to guide them in the right direction."
