I'm gonna be down south in good ole Alabama for a family reunion, but I plan on sneaking out for a while to see harold and kumar and the village, if possible. Catch Manchurian when I get back home.

Harold and Kumar, definitely...

my bank account cries sadness. i'll probably see, in this order: the village, manchurian candidate, harold&kumar.

the village because i still have hope that m. night isn't just a flash in the pan with sixth sense, and i still kinda liked his other ones. manchurian candidate only because the first one was so good. and harold&kumar because it's supposed to be funny and i feel like i kinda have to.

you would have to pay me money to get me into thunderbirds.

the village. still wondering what the thing at the end of the trailer is... i think it'll be lacking a bit in the horror department. the problem with m. night is that all of his movies depend upon the twist at the end =/ it's kinda anticlimactic... "okay, nothing surprising yet; waiting for the twist..."

^---it turns out the HUMANS are the "ancient race" and in fact it is the thing in the woods who are endangered

and no i have not seen it

my choice: none, because i will be sitting my ass in an SUV headed for lake tahoe

edit: oh fuck, x. don't spoil the fuckin' movie that hasn't even fuckin' come out yet! and more importantly, don't FUCKIN' spoil an M. Night Shyamalan movie!! I'm glad I put these tags in without even reading what you said. -kitty

none. Too broke.

But if I did have the cash... it'd be Harold and Kumar.

If they had kept Thunderbirds like the original 60's series and included those stock kiddies, I'd be more apt to see it. The entire family gets kidnapped by Ben Kingsley aka The Hood, and the brats have to save the day....slap in the face, man...slap in the face.

edit: did not even see the movie

well here's an alternate ending for ya (which i also DID NOT SEE)

Turns out the ancient race is black people and/or native americans who the whites CONVENIENTLY forgot they had oppressed, and they come to take back whats due them!

I'm visiting the Royal British Columbia Museum's Egyptian exhibit this weekend! Who needs film when you can spend your time with artifacts that are a few thousand years old? I'm as giddy as a school boy.

Regarding "The Village," I inadvertently ruined the movie for myself on the account that I gave into temptation and clicked on a spoiler thread. The Manchurian Candidate looks promising though. I watched the old one starring Angela Lansbury and this other guy a week ago on the History Network.

will people stop acting like i spoiled it for them already

I did NOT see the movie, and if that is in fact the ending than i guess mr. shyamalan is getting predictable

id say Manchurian Candidate's gonna be a ho hum affair. another villain for the sake of a villain movie

No, you didn't spoil it for me. I got it off another site. You might say I spoiled it for myself because I couldn't resist reading about the twist, which really isn't much of a surprise. I was expecting a "Wow! That's great!" but instead I got a, "What the hell was that?!?" Of course, the ending might not be real. I hear that a few fakes were floating around the Net.

I'll be seeing The Village (probably in the Village itself, HAW HAW HAW)

alright that one was an "in" joke for the NYC heads...

Harold & Kumar for sure, at the new ImaginAsian Theater on 59th btwn. 2nd & 3rd. Support Asian cinema and Asian cinemahouses!

Does Denzel get busy with Meryl in "Manchurian?" You know, some of that hot Black-on-Blonde lovin'?

...no? Dayum!

meh i think merryl streep will huff and she'll puff but she just wont have anything particularly special politically to say which will make the movie forgettable

i mean the first one was about hysteria and i doubt if the remake'll have anything new to say

Come now, Kitty...my online sarcasm may be weak but give me SOME credit!

Besides, we all know what we'd LOVE to see is Denzel and Lindsay Lohan in the mix!

...oops, now that's treadin' pedophilia waters!

To tell you the truth, the movie I'm actually waiting for now, is: Alien vs. Predator....
True that, but let's not forget "Open Water."

i'm saving my 10 bucks for the new exorcist movie..
Uggh! Pointless prequel alarm! Everytime the trailer played in the theater you could smell the yawns...but maybe I could be wrong...

Won't you guys be too pissy to sit in your seats if you drink before the show?
