since my ass is getting laid off in a week or so, i will have spare time. so whoever is willing to meet me in NYC and is willing to set aside a little time, I'll stop on by and pay a visit since my schedule is pretty open.

This needn't be a big group event or involve venues or activities. I am not that great at coordinating such things. As long as I am not by myself, I am content with just farting around the city and absorbing that which is New York.

So those of you interested or with some free time, lemme know!

Yes, we'd like to hear news that you're getting laid.

Or getting off.

what do you do for a living? if it's IT-related, maybe i can help out. but probably it would be a job in the DC area. if you don't mind making your resume public, maybe consider posting it in the Business & Careers forum. exclude all contact or identification info if you don't want to risk getting stalked.

yah. work out some dates and we'll go from there. i can't plan that far ahead.

if there's nothing to do, you can always tag along with the steakhouse trifecta binge fest - peter luger, bryant&cooper and ruth's chris, me and my co-worker friends are planning to do in early august. afterwards possibly get drunk and go see some titties yada yada yada.

I'm sorry to hear that you're getting laid off. It takes time to find a good one. It is a great idea to go on a break before the job hunting.

I have repeatedly made the mistake of accepting job offers too soon the moment they were offered to me. Now I have come to regret it. I am currently stuck in a working environment that I want to get out of--- extreme staff shortage, poor training, working overtime and a town with < 0.3% asians. Really envy the people living in multicultural cities...
