Minor tidbits -- I upped the points awarded for defensive categories this year, just so that D isn't overlooked as much. Everything else is pretty much the same, although I did change points awarded for passing touchdowns from 6 to 4, since passing td's come at a higher rate on average per player.

Its a pretty minimal commitment, especially if you're a football fan already. We just ask that you keep up and set your rosters each week.

A couple of the baseball managers don't touch their rosters for months at a time, which makes the league a lot less fun.

Yeah but there's something deeply satisfying about glancing over a list of average players and finding that diamond...:)

In my second work baseball league...it's fantasy on steroids...only 8 teams in head to head and we're only given like one bench spot...so the starters for each squad look like all star teams. We have Andrew Jones, Lew Ford, Joe Estrada, Carlos Delgado...all on waivers...

that's been opposite for me.

my work league is crowded as hell. our fantasy football manager roster is at 14 and counting.

it makes our yw game leagues look like we're managing all star teams.

I'm just now sorta getting settled into the Fantasy Football season. I'm still in a neck and neck race in baseball for my work league...it's degenerated into some very sick waiver wire combing there, worse than AL or NL only leagues.

Anyway, I had a bad, sick feeling about my YW football team about a round or two into the draft, which was horrible for me. I've only got two decent RB's...!

So of course, as always (but even more now), I'm open to trade offers, even the slightly insulting ones.

i don't think witten is gonna get me 3-4 points. mcnair isn't producing. tomlinson isn't producing. michael bennet is still out. god knows what the hell is going on with travis henry in buffalo.

on a brighter note, me drafting chris brown early is paying off. he just broke jacksonville's streak of not allowing a 100yd + rusher in the last 17 games. in all three games so far over 100yds and 2 touch downs. and they said quentin griffith was the sleeper. HA!

Jason Witten to get three or four points?? No problem! Although there's a good chance that they'll play more ball control offense tonight, they still have Julius Jones out, which means zero running game. Witten caught over 80 yards last week with a TD...!

Who woulda ever thought Rudi would get almost 100 yards rushing against the Ravens...

i was actually tempted to do the trade. then i watched how chris brown ran against jacksonville. i then realized that he could be the real deal. did you know currently he's the leagues leading rusher? surpassing studs like priest holmes and LT? on top of that, i think this year will be a breakout year for reggie wayne. i've always been iffy on old man faulk. i've actually excluded him in both autodrafts in case i didn't make it to the live draft. but, you throwing in koren robinson and seattle's offense made it really tempting.

i might be winless. but, i will go down swinging.

i have quentin griffith and chris brown in my work league and quentin is now in danger of losing his starting spot cuz he fumbles so much. i'm torn whether to give quentin griffith another chance or drop him to get a WR that i've been keeping tabs on. meanwhile snagging deshaun foster seemed like a waste since stephen davis is allegedly coming back by week 5. decisions decisions.

The Denver running can drive fantasy owners nuts. Everyone knows that Mike Shanahan *knows* how to run the ball...and they usually have a pretty good stable of running backs...but because of that, Shanahan can have a pretty choosy/demanding attitude about who to start. Look how easily they gave up Portis.

I hadn't seen Faulk play until yesterday and was worried he'd lost a step -- he hasn't. Well okay, maybe he's not the same Marshall who scored 24 TDs a few years back, but he's still a top tier back. The problem is the team, or coach, specifically. St. Louis has a ton of weapons but they're coached horribly. They had a gazillion false starts -- at home! There's no excuse for that...and it's what you get when you have an offensive guru nut/no appreciation-for-fundamentals like Martz as a head coach. I did like, however, how they went to Faulk on a lot of their key situations in the 4th. Was not impressed at all by Stephen Jackson.

Also caught some of the Colts/Pack game but it seemed pretty clear that even more impressive than javon walker and reggie wayne were manning and favre. Manning is in a friggen zone. It's a very bad sign if you're an opposing team to see a QB with that much poise. Ahman Green looked very good too. I can't believe the Packers tried to run & gun with the Colts in the first half with Green on their team. It's almost like asking Shaq to play in a fast break type offense.

Ominous news for whoever owns Thomas Jones: Rex Grossman is out for the season (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/16815/1).

Looks like my match up will depend on tonight -- again. I need Chad Johnson to come up big tonight!

Side note: I hate to say it ('cuz I hate the Eagles, not him necessarily), but McNabb looks like the best QB in the league right now -- yes, better than Peyton Manning and Daunte Culpepper. Better physical tools than Manning, and God knows he's smarter than Culpepper. I watched McNabb against the Browns and right from the start, you could tell he was in a zone. The pump fake and then laser beam to Chad Lewis in the end zone -- only the second play of the game -- was masterful. He basically looks like he did about two years ago.

I'm down by 40 to AB going into Monday night. I got McNabb and Westbrook. AB's got LJ Smith.

With McNabb's 4 TD passes and Westbrook's TD run, I think I'm going to make up the deficit or at least come close.

I beat my brother twice this year (for 2 of his 3 losses), each time by about 1 point or less.

Now he owes me a steak dinner.

The top six teams are all playing each other this week. Awesome.

I've got to play #1 Lethal *gulp* We had a high scoring shootout in week 3, and it looks like another nailbiter this week.

Dada beat me in Week 3. I'm out for revenge. However, I have this Ahman Green possibly being out problem.

Dada's ownership of Marvin Harrison is going to be really hard to beat this week.

Its the revenge tour agaist Taipan.

He's got the last 3 weeks of the season against AB, me, and Dada. He's gonna get stuffed with 3 straight losses to end the season.

God damn Julius Jones. The CBS revenge tour isn't really working out. I think CSB had the highest single week point total in the league this year cause of Julius Jones (a guy I released - sigh).

CSB can still make the playoffs if he beats Dada by more than 120 points and Mongol Terror loses and scores 100 points less than CSB. Both those things are probably not going to happen, but Dada, Mongol, and Annie's Broncos are still in a tight race for the last 2 playoff spots.

i'm done. good season. good luck to all that's still in it.

bright spot in this years fantasy football leagues is that i went 13-0-1 and i'm the first seed in my work league out of ten going into the playoffs. it brings me that much closer to $500 in my pocket.

Whoa, $500! Is that a winner-take-all prize? The winner in my league will get ~$400 this year, and those who make playoff will get payouts also.

I barely made the playoff this year. I needed Drew Bennett to come up with 15 pts last night and he sure did, more like 40! I am 7-7 but it was enough to make the wildcard because of my head-to-head wins.

I tied for 3rd place with two other teams in the money league I play in, but ended up ranked 5th because of points....no playoffs for me.

I was glad to slip into the YW playoffs in fourth place...but alas, no money for the winner. Just my luck.

I have to play Ninja in the YW playoffs. He has beaten me twice already this season. Can he do it 3 times? No!!!!!!!!

I just got past my wildcard round. Drew Bennett came thru again! And so did Javon Walker (my draft day sleeper pick). Even though Stokeley didn't do much those two did enough to propel me to the next round.

I traded Trent Green&Shaun McDonald for Chad Pennington&Drew Bennett two weeks prior to playoff for a run at the playoff. What a Trade!

Next round is going to be a tough one. My opponent has Culpepper against the Packers.
