do you think it's possible for someone to mean too much to you?
--they're so important to you that almost nothing else matters?
you'd give up anything and everything for them?

Hmmm, sounds like a bit of a loaded question:) I think it's definitely okay to feel that way towards people -- we just have to be selective about which people.

In my opinion, friends come and go..but, family is always the most important.

My belief...
Everyone comes and goes... except yourself...
So, the only person that you can truly count on 24/7, all year round is yourself.

Try to help them when they need assistance, like loaning some money or giving them rides....and EXPECT to receive the same amount back.. :D

i think sometimes we like to feel that way. but, in truth, there's no such thing as not being able to live without another person. that's how i feel.

Not if you're a conjoined twin sharing vital organs... All kidding aside, if we're talking literally here, I'd have to agree with Kasia. But I imagine when (balanced) people say they "can't live without so and so," they really mean they'd much rather not have to live without that person, if given a choice. There's really nothing wrong or unrealistic about that.
If you've found someone like that (who returns the sentiment), lucky you.=) Of all of the drugs that I've experimented with over my lifetime, I'd have to say that love is by far the most addictive. Involuntary withdrawal is a bitch though...=(

I think I'd agree with Kasia and Arex on this one.. the only sucky part about feeling that way is if the person you have these feelings about don't feel the same way toward you. Now that SUCKS. :(
But then.. sometimes we just like to give.. especially for some special people..
