Pandas unexcited by Viagra

Chinese scientists have experimented with giving the male anti-impotence drug, Viagra, to giant pandas in an effort to get them to breed.
The trials began last year at Wolong Nature Reserve in the south-western province of Sichuan, but have had no success.

Pandas, which have relatively low fertility rates even in the wild, lose virtually all interest in sex once they are in captivity.

The scientists have now abandoned the experiment, but some experts say the researchers should simply find new candidates.

Chinese panda breeding programmes have struggled for years to help the endangered species, using what has been dubbed "panda porn" - explicit video of pandas mating - traditional herbs, and artificial insemination.

I wonder how much viagra they're giving them.

I was under the assumption that the primary use of viagra is to increase blood flow to the penis for those suffering from erectile dysfunction. But to stimulate the sex drive you would need testosterone (ie testosterone patch etc etc). Oh well urologist, I'm not.

Viagra might increase a man's sex drive by being more sensitive to stimulus. from what I read. But, I think viagra by itself will do very little for the panda's libido? Put the pandas on sauce! A little cocktail of deca-durabolin, dianabol , winstrol, testosterone enanthate and/or equipoise. They'll get mad horny or rage like an animal, lol.

even artificial insemination doesn't work? maybe they can connect a hose from a male panda's penis to a female panda's vagina and just PUMP the semen into her. Or ...dare i say this...errr manually stimulate the male panda every day, collect his sperm, and inject the female panda with a concentrated sperm solution.

Did you have some use for such a concoction?? :D

edit: it doesn't take much for most guys... normally all you need to do is flash a little T&A and they get 'mad horny, raging like animals' :)
