for those of u who been on the forum for a bit should know i am an advocate of turbochargin over Sy's supercharging and a enthusiast of cars.

i am in the market for a most likely sedan w/ 4 doors thats stick shift costin between 30-40k b4 taxes. the car can and will be modified slightly or greatly depending on which car. i have 2 door car darkhorse choices always

heres sum basic choices i been lookin at

1. lexus IS300 5-speed
2. audi A4 1.8t quattro
3. infiniti G35 6-speed

and the darkhorses

4. Nissan Skyline GTR R32 - i'd get a real clean one w/ 35,000 miles or less
5. Infiniti G35 Coupe
6. Acura CL type S = 6speed

since you like to modify cars and from previous postings, you will be happy with the IS300(I don't like it but you seem to lean on getting one). :P yes will likes modifying cars and your posts

Plus, you can modify it and etc. And I can laugh at that rice burner because i dont know what a real modifed car is, since i owned a rice rocket
Seriously though, if you get an IS, please buy one in that dark gray(not silver) color.. I've seen it fixed up and that gray color just sticks to my head. Seems to match the altezzas or something(Altezzas only seem to look nice on the SUV IMO).since i didnt know that altezza = is300 and is the same car, also those lights are not altezzas they were made by sum white folks at APC and real altezzas can be found only on alltezza based cars like IS300, IS200, Altezza etc and cost 500$ each light

Audi A4 you won't be happy because it's kind of slow and you seem to be a speed freak! G35, bleh!because both are supperior to 3-series

"darkhorses":
I like the Acura CL type S, the first gear is hard to engage due to the racing inspired clutch, because i cant drive stick normally and am weak but it's freaking fast and you'll like it!

But just to flaunt the ride and say you have it, you can't go wrong with an imported GTR R32... especially if you have freinds who can fix it in case things go bad. ;)

What are u 5 yrs old,ur kidding right bout the clutch the CL's is very light compared to mine. Try my old one KA24de 6 puck clutch from ACT fun!, Try my current one ACT Street disk that hold 370lb/foot of torque. if my ex can drive my stickshift car u can too.

IS300 i feel its cheap same w/ altezza that its based on belongs w/ accord. Altezzas refers to the japanese IS300 that has same lights that sum dum bastards at APC copied and mass produced.

Rice burner my ass, thats ok not like 330 can even get near my 240sx right now on track on drag strip and etc. also my car looks stock all the more fun.

GTR's hard to beat.

I like the G35 ever since you told me to look into it.

But I think you can do some damage with the GTR, by modding it yourself, since you know that shit.

johnny
09-09-2002, 04:23 PM
yes, i am 5 years old going on 6, what are you only 2?
the Cl type S, to clarify what i was saying about the clutch is that it is too damn sensitive to engage first gear rather than it being very stiff. The clutch is very soft (too soft) that it is very easy to stall the engine - and this is my opinion when I test drove. help my man hoods been dishonored

I knew that the is300 is represented as "altezza" in japan, thank you very much. And thanks for changing/editing/humoring my posts for fun - very very humerous indeed *hardy har har *cough *immature(but then again you are still in pre-school).

well thats what moderators do =), when we get unconstructive posts we all have the power edit them for humor an such. =) or delete them.

From most of the car reviews that I've read, the new A4's lost some of its sporting edge. And I think it falls dead last among those three sedans in terms of performance. Nevertheless, if I were to pick a sports sedan of those three, I'd go with the A4. It's probably the most solidly built, it's got awd, it's definitely (IMHO) got the classiest looks, you can't beat its interior (I looooooove Audi interiors), not to mention I'd imagine you'll probably get the greatest performance gains from relatively minor tweaks, it being a turbo and all.

Among your darkhorse choices, pre-G35 Coupe, the Acura CL Type-S, 6 speed was my own personal pick for ~$30k sport coupe based on overall package. Never really cared for its styling though. Now, it's G35 Coupe all the way. 'course, I never really considered a grey-market Skyline. That would probably be lots more fun and novel to boot, but that's not exactly a sleeper, if that's what you like.

wylin> the IS300 looks pretty, what does would you say the G35 has over it? This is really curious because I've kind of lazily looked at Lexus before but never really thought of owning one.

My vote would be for the Audi but the A6 over the A4. But I tend to pick cars like a girl. Unless it's an American muscle car.

yeah waiting is more like it. I'm really happy with the purchase (only when wylin posted the 350Z i had qualms) but C32AMG seems right for me. Not tooting my own horn, but it's my first benz <dances>. Busted my balls for years kinda figure I deserve a little something something. I'll be bugging my man and others here for care and other tips. Thanks man for the advice. Now to dig myself out of debt lol.

I must've watched the multi-media section like a million times

Ok back on topic. I'm curious why not the 350Z? Like woot™ said.

I'm still prone to the G35 Coupe. But, I think you probably enjoy and get more out of modding and tweaking your own skyline.

hah... i wanted to laugh at that "the type S racing inspired clutch makes 1st gear hard to get into gear"

err. so wait it's now too sensitive? WTF? how the hell do you make a racing inspired clutch too sensitive? that's stupid. . .

If must be easy as hell to ride that clutch cuz my clutch is a bitch to stomp and engage (custom racing clutch).

just get a civic f0o! hAHH!

exactly u busted ur balls for this new car might as well get sumthing fast and easy to drive and pimp. This adds to bun boy pimpin skills.

well 350Z i really dont think its worth loosing 2 seats for the 17hp that the 350 has over the G35 coupe (270hp ish). Their basically the same car and i really want at bare minumum 4 seat ability.

horsepower and torque and size G35 is a larger car then the sub compact IS300. Its more of a mid-size sedan and interior space wise is closest to the Acura TL or SAAB 9-5.

I find my posts very constructive and angled from a different point of view. Not everyone is going to agree with you nor is everyone such a manly man and drives a stick so flamboyantly like your "manliness" does

Please do not edit my posts, it ruins the "genuine" quality that only johnny can leave behind, thank you.

In this part of the forum mrazntre and wylin rule. nuff said. we edit and delete its part of our job. ur posts everyones posts in this forum i read and decide if their appropriate using my discression. As will AB and others in other sections.

i find ur post somewhat arrogant and uncontructive because their so onesided. i can see why this or that car is nice or bad, everything has more then one side and can be viewed from multiple perspectives.

The big thing that irks me and other viewers is ur views at times are very elitist. self-serving, and very much trying to boost up ur ego and make ur self look big. Maybe thats ur own small way of looking big or great and most of the time i wont take that away to you even though u end up sounding like an idiot alota times.

Being an idiot and monger is sumthing i personally dont find that offensive though but i see u can not take what you put out, i edited ur posts cuz i found them so simplistic and uninformed thus i added references and lil jokes to make them more entertaining to other readers.

also bout driving stick the CL is pretty much the same as every other honda car and most people will have an easy time w/ it. Compared to the racing clutchs me and mrazntre (who also cheapshooted u on that).

also when it comes down to its just online bullshitting by everyone and alota ppl like to make it funny. as do i  B)

You can take or leave this advice as you see fit but I think you'll find it a lot more hospitable here if you think of the ribbing and feedback we give you like you would a sibling rather than bristle and get pissed everytime someone doesn't give you the exact answer you want.

gawd, if I had a nickel everytime my sister told me how much of a dork I was - I'd be rich. Take it in stride and just kick the 'tude down a notch. Work with us instead of against us.

Apologies to wylin for stepping in and posting off topic.

also johny the bullshit i was refering to was urs. that ur online bullshitting is pretty funny most of the time. but when it comes to my personal topics i prefer to have it just strait on topic discussion and i rather for this topic not to become like the previous one for my friend ed. whose im sure thinking WTF is wrong w/ these people.

well hmm, i have yet to drive the G35 coupe or sedan but i have an idea from driving its close realitve the 350Z yes i got to sample a lowend cloth enthusiast model at nissan dealership that i have friends at. nice motor by far tho definitely the interior looks cleap as does the G35's (i have sat in those tho b4)

What im most concerned w/ in buying a car is comfort and overall good gas mileage and ride. handling and speed are 2nd fiddle compared to those things.

man. these new cars are just not any fun. when i get my new car.. i'm not gonna touch shieeet. cuz it'll just go haywire with the ECU and give me more headaches than i can imagine. That is unless of course you're willing to pick up one of those freaking auto something somethings to pull out codes and reset your shiet. i think it runs around 300ish for the cars that i've seen. fAck. stupid car manufacturers. No more ECU resets via 5 second power off.

Stay away from MR2 WILL!!!! remember.. we're looking for young professional cars, not headachey project cars. You have your 240 already. MUST get 4 DOOR WAGON!!! bitches fit in the back easier that way. whoopty whoop!

picked it G35 leather w/ sunroof and HID. waiting till march or so. whenever my brother takes the old car to SD so we can park it in the garage.

oh another reason is we want a Minor change one, they changed sum of the standard equipment on post 11/02 produced models like standard HID and different interior trim and fixed sum problems so we want the 2003.5 M/C model not the 02.5-03 model that has optional HID. color is undecide just no silver or beige color. too old person lookin.

If you're going to go for the m3 get a manual stick shift, Don't go for the sequential box as its a pile of junk.

You guys are lucky as you seem to have a lot better and cheaper cars than here in the u.k.

exactly that 40k for a honda civic sized BMW 3-series or Mercedes C-class pays for german free health care and salary of a german autoworker who makes 50-80k US$ a year plus free health and retirement.
