I was bored and wondered about this. If you were to 'be' an Asiaphile for Halloween, how would you go about doing it so that people would get it without having to hear an explanation?

I'd go as Margaret Mead and where me "Everyone Loves an Asian Girl" half tee-shirt.

The important thing would be to tote around your Chinese 101 textbook, your Chinese American girlfriend, and introduce yourself by your Chinese name, making sure to explain how it wasn't your idea, but your Chinese teacher's idea to name you "Potent Dragon."

Or haak gwai si gung.
Sorry. That was in bad taste.
well to do this, put on a white face like the waynes bros, then be bald have glass, and most importantly you have issues with yourself.

I could dress up like what my perverted image of Japanese people looks like, complete with blue hair and school girl uniform. And instead of saying "trick or treat!" I'll shout "KAWAII!!!" while jumping up and down clapping and giggling.

No that will just get you ass deep in a pile of leg humping Japanphiles of every conceivable ethnicity.
I think I'd run around in a souvenir t-shirt from some Chinese or Japanese slash 'U.S' benevolent society doo-dad to prove my initiation into the way of Asianness. To accessorize, a pair of personal travel chopsticks that I will whip out at every possible opportunity. Perhaps a pink Baby G on one wrist and cool pack or bag with Sanrio characters. The rest of the outfit should give the impression of impersonating fruits style. I'd then talk about every last Asian person I'd ever known as if we were the best of friends, say how some people even mistake me for being Asian or part Asian, and how my Asian friends think I'm so Asian I'm more Asian than even they are!
Ooh, no - better, better! I would throw on my chi pao and New Years jacket, layer myself down with every hunk of jade and gold I own until I look like oriental Mr. T (gotta make sure I've got the solid jade bracelet and necklace with a tablet carved with buddha image). I'll bring along my name chop and stamp everyone's property with it with or without their permission because I know they really want to see it. Then I'll force everyone to listen to my shitty Mandarin and eat my shitty har gow skins with an excited, expectant, and clueless smile.
short of that, this might do it

I saw this guy wearing a T-shirt that said "Everybody loves an Asian Boy" yesterday. He wasn't Asian and he wasn't obviously gay either, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

I think having a long-winded explanation and justification could be part of the costume

Hahaha! Good point. I think you'd have to badly fake a Hong Kong accent in the process too.

Yeah but a costume would greatly aid in the process!

Hah!
Seeing as how stereotypes go, you'd have people saying, "how cute. Look at the Chinese girl."
