That could explain why there are so many single moms out there raising kids on their own.

Yeah, I think it's a chemical thing. But I think as we grow up, our intelligence takes over and we realize that we don't HAVE to be nurturing, and that hell.. if men don't have to care, neither do we.

Lol. Guys secrete it too, in small amounts it's suppressed by testerone. Women produce more and it's effects is enhanced by estrogen. You women seem to live longer because of the hormone also(perhaps to ensure you nurture the offspring  ). Might also explain a man's urge to flee when an unexpected pregnancy comes up.

so there actually *is* this chemical? i thought angel was joking.
if this is the case, what do you think it's existence says about the whole Christian philosophy that women are meant to stay at home and take care of the family? (i actually don't know very much about it--maybe you hard core Christians can inform us a little on what the Bible actually says).

Nah she wasn't. I think I discussed this hormone with MK in a thread awhile back. I think it was Why men cheat or something like that <shrug>

You mean that's not the woman's job? Haha j/k, j/k.
Shrug don't know anything about what the bible says or what religion says, only time I've been in a church is for weddings.

I might be. I tend to lean more to the constructive or result-oriented way of doing things. Or as AB, MK and bun boy put it - mother hen. Bastards.
On the other hand I've been told I'm pretty damn cold. Examining the input I've had from ppl about my personality, I'm reliable, practical and resourceful but not warm, touchy-feely or charismatic.

I am both warm and cold/i-don't-give-a-shit like. Sometimes I think I act like a mother to my boyfriend. Sometimes. The rest of the time: "Oh, help! I broke my--" "Shove it."
