View Full Version : Things you hadn't noticed until recently

Probably a one-item thread:
Never noticed until recently that some pants come with a temporary plastic tape that is used to protect the clothes from those that are just trying them on.
The instructions on the tape read, "to be removed after purchase". (Like someone will want to wear them afterwards.)
Anyway, I think it's there for sanitary purposes. But what's so sanitary about having a piece of tape that traps someone else's crotch particles in it?
I ripped off said tape and noticed that there was pubic hair on it.
I think there should have been an adendum to the note on the plastic that read: "peferably with plastic gloves." :frown:

Preach on. So many people have no sense of volume control. I was raised to speak loud enough so the person I am talking to can hear me--not everyone else in the room.

The whole thing? How did it sound like?
If you want to be really, really pretentious you should listen to Mussorgsky's Khovanshchina based on the Khovansky Affair and talk about how he's the most sincere composer to have ever lived and how he never received traditional classical training and how he was a drunk.
Oh, and comment on his early choral works. Also say that you found the "Destruction of Sennacherib" very haunting. People eat this stuff up and most won't contradict you because they'll be deathly afraid of being looked upon as "unenlightened." Hah!

Retarded kids get away with anything. I promise you, this retarded boy in my fourth period this afternoon literally out of nowhere grabbed this girl's titties. She was sitting next to him and he handed her a notebook or something then just started grabbing her titties (which are pretty big I might add) and she was like, "get off me!" He was like, "oh I'm sorry! Don't tell!" Like he did it by accident. He grabbed them in a very intentional way and at first would not let go. Of course we all cracked on him after that, but still...............if I just grabbed some titties in the middle of class, that'd be my ass. Like I wouldn't even graduate, dude. I'd be out. I'd have to get a GED and everything. But instead he gets a "scolding" and everybody laughing at his retarded ass.

That yw has gotten conservative, especially since the only thing that's fueled this surge in conservative thought had been the election, the conservative members now don't say much.
In other words, there's not much contributed to the general discussion of what it means to be APIA, but only when we "bash" the president, they feel the need to go on the defensive.

Actually perhaps it depends on genre or region. Most of the best Korean love songs or slow Korean ballads are sung by men in my opinion (then again, I haven't really checked to see if the lyrics were originally written by women). Most of the best Korean songs period actually seem to be composed and sung by men.

But yes I did it... after 3 long days, 7 heavy duty trash bags, 1 trash bag full of books and magazines I plan to donate, a trash bag full of clothes, the same playlist rotating over and over for the last 3 days, and to have my friends come over for new years and just make everything messy again.... priceless...

Girls are so materalistic. You really do have to *buy* love....................sigh. And I'm broke.
Totally not true- I thought they were too. But think about this- I own a European luxury sedan and have access to a few more. I can afford and wear fancy clothes, a nice watch, nice shoes, whatever. I live in the nice part of town. I have no debt. My credit limit on my credit cards are pretty high for somebody my age. Going out to eat is no big deal for me. I can take a girl out to a nice sushi restaurant 2-3 times a month and it won't kill me. I can buy Tiffany's for a girl, if she so desires. If she wants to go to HI for vacation, I can make it happen. I don't flaunt my wealth, but when people see me they know I'm money. Oh, and I'm going to med school. On paper, you may think what girl wouldn't go out with me? But I have never dated, let alone kiss a girl, and no girl has ever shown interest in me as more than a friend. Trust me, you cannot buy love. I've gotten farther with a kind word and a witty joke than with a Mercedes and Armani. It just simply does not work that way.
And should you find yourself buying friends (or love), let me tell you this from experience. The second you lose all of that money or when they meet somebody richer than you, is the second you are alone. I lost ALL my college friends (not really friends) after I graduated due to some financial trouble. Those punk ass bitches all deserted me and made fun of me for not having a paying job when they had one. They would walk by me and not even say hi or look at me. When I was at my all time low, they deserted me- let me tell you, that is a great fucking feeling. People you spent 4 years with. People you thought you could depend on. You find out they they just liked you because you had some money and a car. The girls treated me like crap, I have never met girls that rude in my entire life. It was such a horrible experience that it took a few years for me to recover from that and realize that not all girls are like this. To this day, I stay clear of anybody even remotely resembling my old "friends" in personality.

Maybe because all of the girls you ever showed interest in had money themselves, so they had no need for it. *shrugs*

I agree COMPLETELY! That happened to one of my old friends, me and him go back to fourth grade, he's 19 now and in college. His dad died in a car accident years ago and since he was in the military, he gets a fat check from Uncle Sam every month, and even more money now that he's in college. In high school, his cousin and his "friends" all cracked on him because he never had a car, even though he helped them put stereo systems and even a 13" TV in their cars (he's good at putting stuff together with his hands). Now that he's in college and sitting on top of all this money, he can afford a car. A really nice one too, a Chevy with red candy-paint and 23" rims. Guess who wants to hang out with him now? I told him he should just say "fuck all those dudes" and just hang out with me and a this other dude...................we all go back to elementary school, he knows we won't leave if he's broke, we got plenty of good times together.
Also.......................he told me before he graduated HS that he wanted to find a girl *before* he went out and bought the Chevy, so he wouldn't have a bunch of money-hungry b****** chasing him for his car and his money. Well soon as he got to college, he started talking to this girl and they're still together and so that's when he decided to go get that car, because now he feels like he's with a girl who'll be there for him, money or no money.
Just thought I'd share that...................I suppose not all girls are materalistic, but a LOT of them are. A lot. A lot. A whole lot.

Nope- I'm usually the rich one among my friends. Most people with a bit of money start acting like idiots. I know one guy who "complains" that the only hard-top convertible he can afford is the new Mercedes SLK. Another one has the same view on women and even though he drives a S-class, he thinks that he is welfare poor and no girl will date him. Another one is rich but tries his hardest to look poor. I usually don't hang out with other people that are wealthy because they usually let their money define them (another no-no).
The girls I usually go after aren't so impressed by a flash car or a designer label that they would date me. They usually have their act together and are good people. If they borrow $50 from you they will pay it back. If a guy tries to buy them out, it doesn't work and they'll return the gifts. Like I said earlier, it makes life a lot easier if you hang out with good people. I'd rather deal with a nice person with lots of problems than a "perfect" golddigger.
Maybe lots of girls are golddiggers, I don't know. I stay clear of them. At the first sign of snotty, golddigging behavior, I walk. And I suggest you do the same. Not worth it- you're better off spending the money on yourself or donating it to charity.

Yeah see that's why I like older/college girls...................usually they're smart enough to get their money on their own, so they don't need a man with money, so they don't go golddigging. I absoultely can't *stand* girls who do that..............they give females a bad name IMO.

Girls are so materalistic. You really do have to *buy* love....................sigh. And I'm broke.
I agree that some girls are like that but not all. Probably not even the majority. My girlfriend is the exact opposite. All she wants is to be respected and loved. I'm more then happy to give her that. Now my mother and sister on the other hand.....

If you like somebody but are afraid of ruining the friendship, go ahead and go after the person. If you don't the friendship will be ruined anyway, they know what you're feeling and will begin to feel weird around you... and then you're in bigger trouble than if you had asked them out and they had shot you down.
It is far better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Yeah.
You know what, life is SO much better when you don't give a damn what any female thinks about you.
Yeah see that's why I like older/college girls...................usually they're smart enough to get their money on their own, so they don't need a man with money, so they don't go golddigging.

I have noticed that even though I have been home less often (thanks to the slave drivers I work for.) that my utility costs have not really gone down very much. I was informed it was due to certain fees being added to the bill. For instance, what the heck is a "wire service fee" for your phone. o.O No one has ever come out to service any of my wires... When I stated this to them they stated it was a mandatory fee just in case any of my wires happen to go bad. But why should I have to pay for this every month?

Something I've just realized today -
Most love songs sound disgusting unless you're actually in love. Other than that, they sound too soft and sappy and you'll be wanting to change the radio station or CD or whatever to something like rap or rock or whatever you listen to besides love songs.
I was listening to John Legend's new shit and it's a real good album - too bad I don't have a girl to think about when I listen to it. I can't stand it because of that, except for "Used to Love U".

The shit that you never want to change, always changes. Constantly. And just when you're starting to get used to the changes, things change again. And the shit that you DO want to change, never changes.
That is MESSED UP.

I've never seen a white person in handcuffs (as in being arrested) until today. Seen plenty of black people get arrested and taken away in cuffs, but today I went to Wal-Mart and this young white dude (like maybe 21) tried to shoplift some shit, and he got caught and thrown in the back of a squad car.
I never noticed I've never seen white people get in trouble with the law like that until today because it caught my attention to see the person cops carrying away to be a white person. I've definitely seen white people do shit that they *should* be arrested for, but as far as actually seeing them arrested, no I've never seen that until today.

Or protesters blocking traffic and shit?

And even on TV, on the local news whenever they show somebody getting arrested, it's always a black person. Even on the little reenactments they do for America's Most Wanted or CrimeStoppers, always a black dude. I've just never ever seen a white person in handcuffs before in real life, and only see it half the time on COPS (if that much).
It's almost like I was reminded that white people do shit too.

Well it's one of the mixed blessings of being dirt broke I guess in my case. If a girl likes me, I know it won't be because of my money or car (mainly cause I have neither right now).

And the funny thing is, he ain't even got a hood name..............this wasn't Deante or LaShawn, this was "Brian Nichols", he could've been a white serial killer.
Another thing I hadn't noticed until now - the janitor at our school steals shit from the boys locker room. Just the last week, this dude at our school had some fresh new Converses...........he left them in the locker room for a minute, and this week he wore 'em to school. This is the same dude who everybody at our school called "Osama" because of his long beard after the 9/11 attacks. This is the same dude who walked up to me in the hallway one day and told me "man, I shouldn't have sold that Wal-Mart stock". I had some stock in that motherfuckin company 'bout 20 years ago, and I sold the motherfucker. Look where I'm at now." Man, that old ass dude is crazy. And apparently struggling like hell to make ends meet too. I kinda feel sorry for him, but at least now I know what happened to some of the clothes, food, shoes, etc. that gets stolen around here.

Ever notice how young white kids sense of fashion/style seems to imitate exactly what their parents did back in the 60s/70s (long hair, bell bottoms, etc) whereas young black kids try their best to not look like their parents did in the 60s and 70s.
