uhm sounds like the almost-perfect cellular phone plan...

Other things that would make it ideal would be:
Nationwide Coverage
Free text messaging
Free Roaming
A wide selection of awesome phones

Yeah, totally.

Text messaging gets me up the ass. 10 cents a pop times 300= $30 in itself.

Right now I pay $49.99 for:
600 anytime minutes
unlimited nights and weekends (begins at 8:00p.m.)
usual digital stuff (caller ID, voicemail, SMS capability)
free nationwide long distance
no roaming within all of CA and Las Vegas

That's good enough for me. I usually rack up about 1800 minutes per month but haven't gone over my included minutes in a loooong time. I imagine you teenagers probably get a lot more usage out of your phones though... I am on a contract (keep renewing for a year to get the newest deals) but I've been with the same carrier (AT&T, formerly known as LA Cellular) for ages anyway so I don't really mind. I just wish AT&T would get some nicer phones...=P

arex u will see similar phones to T-mobile/ voicestream/ Cingular because AT&T wireless is becoming a GSM based carrier versus the older TDMA system they use.

GSM carriers phones are pretty much universal unless locked by the carrier (u can find places to unlock) and interchangable because all use SIM cards and can swap back and forth and phone to phone the data/ numbers/ calling information.

I have no say in it whatsoever. Dad (or mom) decides everything, period. That's how it is in this lovely household of mine. "You don't like it, leave."

There is no roaming, for unlimited Text Messeges it's $5...

Talk as much as you want whenever you want, so that means you can talk anytime with unlimited long distance.

This a repurtable company that won't go bellyup anytime soon?
Will it have good coverage in SD, LA, SF, NY where I might be?

Anyway.. I'm interested

i'm talking about METRO PCS.
T-Mobile is already using Cingular's Towers so the service already isn't that good.
