Violatin the Community Forum Guidelines (http://66.246.77.119/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=33&t=149) generally. In special cases, being a complete prick will also get you banned at least temporarily...

Admin made a title especially for me. I still cannot get a real reason from them, but eunich (speaking of which, what would be girls called, vasectomated?) is the new title. Oh, it's easy to get the new status, but I won't tell you how.

- no search flood control, while regulars must wait 10 seconds between each search
- ability to mass PM up to 10 people, while regulars cannot mass PM
- PM storage space of 100 PMs, while regulars can store 50

a eunuch has certain restrictions on his/her privileges - basically it means the member is placed on probation.
a banned mofo is not allowed to access the site.

It's kind of like trying to make your car theft-proof: if a thief is totally determined, you won't be able to stop them.

That said, so far, the only person who has continued to persist in trolling the boards is Ikpaki. He's a bit like Gollum, constantly lurking around, screaming like a stuck pig when we find him, and then talking himself into anger when he's released.

Actually all the OG members became Mafia members....I think. :D

Mafia takes precendent before OG.

The orginally yellowworld forums was the livejournals contributors. :)

I think the chances of a situation where multiple users validly have the same IP on YW is quite low. Besides, IP addys can be traced to location. If they're all eminating from the same area, you can usually figure out who it is even if the IPs aren't identical. This info will only be valid until someone who actually knows what they're talking about comes along to correct. me.

Not necessarily, you would have had to been registered in the YW community at livejournal. But I'm not sure if we're gonna keep that rank anyway...too difficult to track...

You are correcto ma'am. Besides, I rarely block IP addresses. When someone becomes a real hassle, I prefer contacting their ISP and filing a complaint.

speaking of blocking addresses, at this point in time, ther eare 1014 members of the YW forums. and of this 1014, only a handful actually use this thing regularly.

Someone else had mentioned this me recently. Here's why I'm not totally crazy about the idea:

1) A good number of users access the site anonymously on a daily basis. Some don't even post, but they do read.

2) There's no good standard for pruning members.

2) The cost of forcing a dormant member to have to recreate an account is greater than just leaving the account alone. On top of that, I think we should always want members to feel like their going to be welcome.
