Did you pick thse yourself or did you have to draw?

i don't know bro, Brett Favre, might not yield you the points as your starting QB? Though Schroeder and Issac as your WR might take up the slack. I mean how good is Green Bay's offensive line?

Good choices or draws on your RB's though.

Then again I always bombed at fantasy football. Go NCAA hoops tournament!

Edit: Oh yeah, good luck AB and represent YW!

I'm ashamed to say, I didn't pick this particular team. It's a league full of close friends, and they wanted to actually meet in person for our draft last Sunday, and I couldnt' make it. But somehow I got the first pick (Faulk)!

I agree re: Fav-ree. The past two seasons I put a lot of stock in Brett and got burned. It's not like he's terrible or anything, just not capable of putting up the kind of numbers he did in '95. I'm also considering trading Schroeder. He was very capable last year, putting together a streak of TD catches, but I've seen the guy play, and I was never too impressed with him. On top of that...he's in Detroit now, after all.

I like McNabb because of his hugely successful postseason last year. I always like to go for those players the next season...they usually pck up right where they left off.

R. Smith is probably the third or fourth best receiver in the league along with T. Owens, R. Moss and Marvin Harrison. He's solid! M. Booker is underrated, but the guy also had 100 catches last year. And C. Lewis, with 6 TD's last year, is another go-to guy.

I've had Keyshawn many times before. The guy never produces! He never gets the home run hitter catch because of his lack of deep speed. He's great on slants and buttons...but the jury's still out on him because of Gruden coming to TB.

dude i lose sleep doing this! going over last seasons stats, trying for the right combination, oy stressful. I hate you for bringing this up on YW!

Agree with you on McNabb

TE: C. Lewis I agree, Goes well with McNabb and offense. Sharpe would have been a good or better choice if available. But solid decision here.

Rod Smith I agree now that I forgot Terrell Davis retired. He'll net you big, me thinks.

Booker: you're gonna have to prove me wrong. Still have qualms, but might've been the best WR available to ya by then. Yes he had 100 catches but I don't know bro.

overall better than your first roster.

Well least football season started woohoo.

PS Did I mention that I hate you? :P

I'm typically not a big fan of TEs because of their lack of production -- unless you've got Tony Gonzalez, maybe. I was about to take Sharpe in the fifth round, I believe, but he was stolen right before my selection. I got Chad Lewis late, because I knew the other bone heads in my draft would fall asleep on him.

Well, not to be too ticky tacky (beware, I'm a HUGE football fan:P), but I prefer going with WRs who actually have solid running games. I think it's a common misconception that big production WR come from these Steve Spurrier type passing attacks -- not in the NFL. If you look at the marquee receivers, all of them benefit from having a ground game to take pressure off of them, allowing for defensive coverage packages that are more advantegeous: Terrell Owens (G. Hearst and K. Barlow); Marvin Harrison (Edge James); R. Smith (T. Davis, Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary, ad naseum); Isaac Bruce (M. Faulk)...the only big-game WR without a ground game is Randy Moss, and his numbers suffered big time after Michael Bennett took over.

But the great thing about Fantasy Football is you're not going after the "best" player out there, just the player who produces on paper:) I think Booker was a steal! 100 catches, 8 TD's! Come on!

*Smooch*

BTW...I got off to a good start witih this team...G. Hearst got me a solid 11 points last night after carrying the ball less than 15 times. I'm kicking myself for not selecting K. Barlow...and it's all my cousin's fault!! I was consulting with him during my draft, and he's a big-time Niner's fan and he kept telling me that Hearst was the man. After Hearst's positive production last night, I think it's time to try trading him, since his stock has increased considerably.

God I love football:)

True. If you put it that way.

Booker I'll see when the season is further in. Then you can laugh at me.

Thanks! I think I should boast even further and add that I'm a (*ahem*) ESPN FF League Winner from last year...(*sticks chest out*)...:P

I tried Fantasy basketball last year for the first time...it's a lotta work! I dun know if it's as much work as baseball, but you seriously have to check your line-ups like every day. But it was a lotta fun. I missed my draft (driving home late from work) and a couple of months because I was so out of it after losing my job...but I still almost won!

I'm just a freaky deaky sports nut.
