Ben Affleck: Plays Matt Murdock. Matt Murdock had blond hair in the comic book series

Michael Clarke Duncan: Plays Kingpin. Kingpin was white in the comic book series

Jennifer Garner: Plays Elektra. Elektra was Asian in the comic book series

As a kid I was a huge Daredevil fan. But I don't know about this one. Probably get it on bootleg.

Elektra was greek (Elektra Natchios was her full name)
She was the daughter of a Greek ambassador that got killed.
Funny thing tho is that after he died she went to euroup to become a martial arts baadazz.
Since when are the pale-faces known for there martial arts skills ? :D

And the fact that they cast MCD as the kingpen threw me off at first but if they hadnt this movie would have prolly been lily white.
Like Batman would have if they had not cast Billy D as Harvey Dent.
I just hope they have him doing kingpens sumo moves.

If it is at least as good as X-Men i will go see it.

Been awhile since I read DD. I just remember in some of the comics she looked asian.

I guess knowing this makes it somewhat better for me now. Now about that kingpin LOL

Nope, but they do tend to draw women in with quasi-Asian features regardless of the character's ethnicity.

I think they should have gotten the chick who played Anuk-su-namun or whatever the name was from The Mummy. She's not greek but she could pass for it looks wise and she already got training to fight with sai.

My biggest complaint is Ben Affleck. He's ugly.

They got the lady who plays in Alias to play the part.
I havent seen the sho but i am told that she fights ok.
She is not attractive to me at all tho so i agree with your choice.

Do you rember in X-Men when they turned Captain Britan's sister Psyloke into an asian woman?

Yep, I know Jennifer Garner as Elektra. While I like her, I think she makes a piss poor Elektra. Did you see her outfit? I understand the impracticality of wearing the red dental floss up the rear but why the brown leather halter top?

I watch Alias and either she's pretty good, the action is edited pretty well, or both. I like Gina Torres too, so that's another reason I watch Alias.

After I got over the fact that they messed with a MAJOR character from Spiderman, I think I'm pleased over the choice of Michael Clarke Duncan. I can't name another guy of his stature that could pull off the character.
