MTV Legal News Correspondent
We have a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to be an MTV News Legal correspondent. Below is the BREAKDOWN with general information. We are keeping everything open but producers would like to have a female between appearing between 25-29 years old. Also, if there are current Law students that have prior work experience in the legal field, we'd consider them as well.
BREAKDOWN
MTV is looking for a recent law school graduate to help us out with reporting and analysis on some of the big celebrity trials coming up in '04.
The on-air correspondent would be doing something similar to what you see folks on the cable news outlets do - attend the trials, give us their take on what's going on, dig up stories if they can, join our talent in the studio when need be. Basically, the candidate would need to explain the legalese for the MTV audience and possibly write reports for our website - someone to hip for CNN. This would not be a full-time position - you would be needed three or four times a month.
The ideal candidate would be based in Chicago. Obviously, it would be great if they were "in the demo," but they would still need some professional chops, some experience in criminal law - no preference between prosecution & defense.
Interested candidates should email a photo and resume to the address below.
If a picture is not available online, you may submit it to the address below marking the envelope "MTV News Legal."
Submissions should be made by MARCH 15, 2004.
